LOS ANGELES -- NFL Hall of Famer Merlin Olsen died this morning, the St. Louis Rams have confirmed. He was 69.

Actually, not for a former NFL player. I read somewhere that the average career for an NFL player is less than 3 years....while the average life expectancy for an NFL player is 10 years less than the national average.
Either way...prayers for his friends and family.
