Hate to say it... What would you figure was the latest possible date human feet would have been on Mars had Germany won WW-II? My own guess would be around 85 - 90, i.e. the point at which the 68030 was available and you had the compute power for it.
Sounds to me like it's not in Iraq or Afghanistan, and these guys never made it to either of those countries, as they were originally said to have been going to do.
