Exactly.

And if you recall, unsubstantiated reports stated that suspicions were that Iraq shipped what they had to Syria. Hell they (US soldiers) found caches of materials consistent with WMDs.

The entire world, based on intelligence from the US and other countries, also believed WMDs existed.

Faked WMDs...what nonsense. If you ask me, he (Bush) was overly prudent in invading. He clearly stated in his speech immediately after 9-11, that we will make NO DISTINCTION between terrorists and those who harbor terrorists.

Yes Bush made mistakes...but I felt a hell of alot more comfortable with him at the helm. He was at the very least, someone that could be reasoned with. What do we have now? A wannabe tyrant who is taking a wrecking ball to our Nation.

I’m sick and tired of BDS.

Iraq was not where the terrorists were - there wasn’t much question about that. The question on many conservatives minds was why is he doing this when Osama bin Laden and his jihadists organization(s) were still loose in Afghanistan. Why didn’t we deal full force with KNOWN terrorists in Afghanistan instead of going on this nonsensical venture into Iraq that later tuned into a “doctrine” of invading countries so we can turn them into democracies?

Better yet. Saddam himself admitted to Army interrogators that he pretended they had WMD’S in order to frighten Iran.

Good post Outlaw....also remember, it was Blair and Powell who wanted UN permission under the WMD case....VP Cheney did NOT.

Pres Bush listened to both, and went with Blair.

I will bet he regrets it now, since he get no credit for arguing with the UN FOR 14 MONTHS!

Just the other day I heard some jerk on TV say that GWB “shoots first, asks questions later”.
