How to Cure Illegal Immigration: Bring Back President Eisenhower's 'Operation Wetback'.

Fifty-three years ago, when newly elected Dwight Eisenhower moved into the White House, America's southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve. As many as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a period of several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points beyond.

President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents – less than one-tenth of today's force. The operation is still highly praised among veterans of the Border Patrol.

on June 17, 1954, what was called "Operation Wetback" began. Because political resistance was lower in California and Arizona, the roundup of aliens began there. Some 750 agents swept northward through agricultural areas with a goal of 1,000 apprehensions a day. By the end of July, over 50,000 aliens were caught in the two states. Another 488,000, fearing arrest, had fled the country.

By mid-July, the crackdown extended northward into Utah, Nevada, and Idaho, and eastward to Texas.

By September, 80,000 had been taken into custody in Texas, and an estimated 500,000 to 700,000 illegals had left the Lone Star State voluntarily.

Unlike today, Mexicans caught in the roundup were not simply released at the border, where they could easily reenter the US. To discourage their return, Swing arranged for buses and trains to take many aliens deep within Mexico before being set free.

Tens of thousands more were put aboard two hired ships, the Emancipation and the Mercurio. The ships ferried the aliens from Port Isabel, Texas, to Vera Cruz, Mexico, more than 500 miles south.

The sea voyage was "a rough trip, and they did not like it," says Don Coppock, who worked his way up from Border Patrolman in 1941 to eventually head the Border Patrol

This is what we need to enact again but on a slightly larger scale to get the job done. President Hoover, Truman and finally Eisenhower was bold to do this and Ike showed his American Patriotism in doing what was right and that was protecting the American workers jobs from being taken by cheaper working illegal aliens from Mexico.

We now have approximately 25 million illegal aliens in the United States (even though the Center for Immigration Studies estimates that number at around 7.3 million). It's time to demand, under threat of impeachment, that Barack Hussein Obama launch Operation Wetback IV, and complete the job started by Hoover and Eisenhower.

Although they think they are, the President of the United States (legitimate or illegitimate), and the members of Congress are not above the law of the land. If Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid [D-NV] and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi [D-CA] and any other member of Congress refuses to enforce Section 8 USC 1324[a](1)(A)[iv][b](iii)of the Federal Immigration and National Act of 1952,, they need to be impeached for committing a federal felony, tried and removed from office, and then placed on trial in a US federal court (not of their choosing), and sentenced to federal prison for harboring illegals.

Of course in this politically correct age, you couldn’t call it Operation Wetback.

History museums have censored old newspapers from World War II, which had headlines about “Japs”.

The World War II memorial has an engraving of FDR’s speech to Congress on Dec. 8, 1941, in which FDR declares we will fight to the ultimate triumph, but omit the words he spoke at the very end, ( so help me God ).

And the liberal view is that we can’t deport millions of people, so my guess is that they won’t ever try anything like Wetback again.

Just call it a class c act of treason to hire one, minimum fine on first occurrence, $1000. Second offense $5,000. Third offense $10,000.

First: MSM, ACLU, Legal sources in general, majority of Congress, millions of general citizens,
24/7 live news - Left Wing

Who and how are tens of thousands going state by state to locate over 15 million illeglas.

While spending the next several years doing this, as they are picked up, MSM cameras rolling, riots, protests.

How many C 130s used to pack illegals in if it get to that after years of legal court actions.

I live 20 miles north from the largest and busiest border crossing in the world, San Diego - Tijuana, Mexico.

I see the illegal situation first hand and don’t agree with them.
But I also face the world of reality thus my comment above.
_______________________

Illegals arn’t just crossing by land, they are using boats with 20+ illegals leaving the coast of Tijuana and landing
on he beaches on San Diego around 2 - 3 am

Coast Guard and Border Patrol dealing with this but many get through.

WOW never heard of this in my American History classes from public education. Sounds like a wonderful idea and should be brought back. Ya know how vintage and retro is so in style these days. :) I’m sure millions of unemployed Americans would be all for it as would the rest of us taxpayers that are footing the bills incurred and caused by illegals.

How about, “Second offense you go back with them to where they came from.” That would suere as hell put an end to it.

And we could do an even better job of it this time with all of the identification methods we have, that would allow us to "tag" them and know who they are if they try to come back and are caught. That said, we also need to cut off all benefits to illegals and their families. Many are here because our government taxes US to support THEIR spawn.

WHY ILLEGALS ARE DRIVING AMERICA 'CUCKOO'

Why doesn't Mexico take care of its own people? Why do they instead encourage their poor to leave Mexico and invade the United States? Nature provides a parallel that is instructive.

Some species of birds thrive not by carefully rearing their own young, but by pawning that task off on adults of other species. The European Cuckoo, whose distinctive call is immortalized in the sound of the "cuckoo clock," is the bird in which this habit has been most thoroughly studied. Female European Cuckoos lay their eggs only in the nests of other species of birds. A cuckoo egg usually closely mimics the eggs of the host (one of whose eggs is often removed by the cuckoo).

The host may recognize the intruding egg and abandon the nest, or it may incubate and hatch the cuckoo egg. Shortly after hatching, the young European Cuckoo, using a scoop-like depression on its back, instinctively shoves over the edge of the nest any solid object that it contacts. With the disappearance of their eggs and rightful young, the foster parents are free to devote all of their care to the young cuckoo. Frequently this is an awesome task, since the cuckoo chick often grows much larger than the host adults long before it can care for itself. One of the tragicomic scenes in nature is a pair of small foster parents working like Sisyphus to keep up with the voracious appetite of an outsized young cuckoo.

Folks it will never happen. No one has the political metal to do it. You need to look beyond this solution.

That’s why people need to be aware that this happened. Spread this and tell people or your lawmakers. If this plan was enacted again the psychological effect alone would send them running for the border.

I agree it will never happen. Until or if white men get their balls back nothing will change and in fact it will continue to get worse.

Influential politicians, including Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson (D) of Texas and Sen. Pat McCarran (D) of Nevada, favored open borders, and were dead set against strong border enforcement

LBJ won out in the long run.
