Well, then, perhaps you should embrace Tea Party recommendations instead of trying to incorporate the Tea Party into the GOP.
I don’t understand the fear of a third party splitting the republican vote. There are already three parties. Liberal, conservative and RINO. A third party should be formed and invite the decent conservative republicans to join. Naturally that would leave out Cornyn, Graham, McCain, etc.
What the republicans are saying to the Tea Party folks is the same thing the dems say to the far left wing: Where else can you go? If a third party is not formed we will be stuck with the exact same party we now have, a bunch of RINOs. Now, people will say “we need the majority anyway we can get it so we can have the committee chairmanships”. Then McCain will say we need to have co-chairs.
