Barack Obama is scheduled to read a statement at 3 p.m. EST about the Iraq elections which took place this weekend.
TOTUS is set up in the Rose Garden, according to CNN.
Will Obama mention the capture of American al Qaeda member Adam Gadahn?
Will Obama wish his terrorist supporting fundraiser Jodie Evans of Code Pink good luck at the Oscars for her Academy Awards nominated film that is up for best documentary feature?
Will Obama announce that he's cheating on Michelle again--with his smoking and fat-food eating?
Will he use the statement to push his healthcare takeover?
Will he take credit for the successful Iraqi elections? Wait, Joe Biden already did that for him.
Oh goody. An oh-so-rare public appearance by BO to disrupt an otherwise pleasant Sunday.
BamBam is going to be in a bummed out mood because one of his fellow co-religionists has been arrested. Now if they could only find Bin Laden! LOL!
I congratulate the people of Iraq for casting their ballots in this important parliamentary election. I have great respect for the millions of Iraqis who refused to be deterred by acts of violence, and who exercised their right to vote today. Their participation demonstrates that the Iraqi people have chosen to shape their future through the political process.
I commend the Iraqi government and Iraqi Security Forces for providing security at nearly 50,000 voting booths at more than 8,000 polling stations across Iraq. We mourn the tragic loss of life today, and honor the courage and resilience of the Iraqi people who once again defied threats to advance their democracy. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi poll workers contributed to the effort, as well as domestic party and civil society observers. Iraqi citizens around the world also participated in these elections, including Iraqis living in the U.S. who voted in Arlington (VA), Chicago, Dallas, Dearborn, Nashville, Phoenix, San Diego, and San Francisco.
The important work of Iraqs Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) will continue in the days to come as it counts ballots, tabulates results and investigates complaints. We also salute the invaluable assistance provided by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI).
Will Obama wish his terrorist supporting fundraiser Jodie Evans of Code Pink good luck at the Oscars for her Academy Awards nominated film that is up for best documentary feature?
please fill me in...I don’t go to the movies (unless it’s a Disney movie with my 7YO daughter), don’t support hollywood or watch any of their award shows...
Utterly ridiculous.
Better preempt my golf!
Not a word about our heroes who made this day possible.
Jane Fonda writes that even with Kathryn Bigelow a front runner to take home the Oscar for best director, making her the first woman to do so, the percentage of female helmers on film projects actually has been falling. The Women's Media Center, which Fonda founded with Robin Morgan and Gloria Steinem, produced a video for Oscar week highlighting women nominees and has a petition calling for more representation among nominees in 2011. One of the board members of the Women's Media Center, Jodie Evans, is executive producer of "The Most Dangerous Man in America," the Oscar nominated documentary about Daniel Ellsberg.
SNIP
The muslim comes out sans tie.
He's low rent and low class.
The coward takes no questions.
I think he said something or other about them. But his making a public statement on the election is strange as Obama has made plain his disdain for dealing with Iraq. I guess that’s why he had Biden standing behind him.
Maybe someone can get him to read “Pop”and have a literary discussion of its meaning.
At least Biden dressed appropriately.
Heartsick.
Biden declared the victory in Iraq as Obama’s finest accomplishment.
There really are no words. NONE
Obama is on TV so often that at this point...its just Charlie Brown,s teacher.
(Raise the chin, point the finger, aaand begin) Let me be clear, waa wa waa wa wa
I thought I was the only one sick of seeing conduct official state business without a tie.
How disrespectful of the office is that?
I feel like a boss arguing with my junior employees.
“Get a tie on! You’re not going to meet with the customer like that.”
It’s disgraceful. He does it on purpose. Reminds me of Iranian leaders (they don’t wear ties either).
