I think you are right on point with that description. This looks to me like nothing more than a suicide by cop. He had ample opportunity and means to kill or injure people, but he didn’t. He fired and then was killed by returned fire. I find it hard to believe it was anything but suicide by cop. Who knows why he drove all the way across the country to do it where he did. There’s no doubt he was mentally ill.
Truth is, my heart and prayers go out to him and his family, along with the officers who were injured. And really big prayer of thanks that it ended as well as it did.
