Is the Southern Poverty Law Center Terrorizing Decent American Patriots?
Canada Free Press ^ | 3/5/10 | JB Williams

Posted on 03/05/2010 1:27:20 PM PST by Nachum

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is very influential in the current administration, almost single handedly responsible for defining “domestic terrorists” for the Department of Homeland Security and ratcheting up the racial rhetoric like never before in U.S. history, in the name of so-called “social justice.”

In the latest diatribe to come out of the Montgomery Alabama based mini-ACLU, titled - Rage on the Right - The Year in Hate and Extremism—the group lays out their justification for striking fear in the hearts of every Tea Party, 912 and town hall activist, angry over the federal governments mishandling of their country.

The SPLC report opens with—“The radical right caught fire last year, as broad-based populist anger at political, demographic and economic changes in America ignited an explosion of new extremist groups and activism across the nation.”

The SPLC is a commie front group, IMHO. At the very least, they’re a far-left advocacy group making money on anti-white racism.

The SPLC opened the doors for the attacks against our society coming from the "Truthers", "BDS" sufferers, etc.

Remember, to those on the extreme far left they do not believe there are any enemies on the left. You could put the question to Nancy Pelosi and if she ever had a lucid moment, she'd agree!

Someone needs to sue them for libel or slander and bankrupt them.

Morris Dees and Mark Potok are slimy liberal fascists hiding behind the verbal facades of “Southern” and “Poverty” contained in the name of their little neo-Stalinist organization.

Terrorizing? Hardly.

Enraging and “filling with terrible resolve”, definitely.

These attacks by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) on people on the right have traumatized me and made me fearful and distrustful.

I am a victim of their terroristic tactics and hate.

They never terrorized me, even though they hated my second novel. It always makes me laugh.

Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista review by the Southern Poverty Law Center
Books on the Right: A Nativist’s Paranoid Vision by Susy Buchanan
July 2007

In 1973, a Frenchman named Jean Raspail wrote a bitter and paranoid novel about the “invasion” of his native land by starving Third World refugees. The book was a racist vision of the consequences of non-white immigration, aided and abetted, in the author’s view, by the weak-minded liberals who failed to resist it. For almost 35 years, The Camp of the Saints has been a Bible to the radical right.

Now, courtesy of former Navy SEAL Matthew Bracken, comes the American version — a portrait of the apocalypse Bracken fears will overtake America thanks to undocumented immigration from the south. The book is a fictionalized version of the Aztlan conspiracy theory — the idea that Mexico is secretly planning a “reconquista” (reconquering) of the seven states of the Southwest — that now animates large swaths of the anti-immigration movement. It’s being plugged on extremist websites, in gun magazines and similar electronic venues, and on immigrant-bashing radio shows like Peter Boyles’ program on KHOW-AM in Denver.

This isn’t the first angry, self-published novel from Bracken. His new book, Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista, is the second in a series that began with another paranoid fantasy about gun control and evil agents of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, a favorite bête noire of the extreme right. His latest book, marked by an enthusiastic interest in busty women, is a xenophobe’s racy vision of hell.

[A long detailed plot summary with numerous “spoilers” is snipped here. It can be read at the SPLC link.]

Domestic Enemies plods along between the over-the-top action sequences. Bracken oversexualizes his gun-loving heroine, devoting as much prose to her breasts as he does her weapons — which is a lot — and many minor players come off as one-dimensional caricatures. But a sexy heroine shooting guns of varying calibers at liberal, communist, open-borders villains in a world destroyed by immigration and multiculturalism is an irresistible fantasy for the audience this genre of fiction attracts – no matter the novel’s numerous flaws.

Of course, this fictionalization is hardly necessary, even for those given to this kind of thing. All one need do is listen to real-life zealots like Glenn Spencer, head of the hate group American Border Patrol, who puts it like this: “Our country is being invaded by Mexico with hostile intentions. When it blows up, they can’t say we didn’t tell them, when the blood starts flowing on the border and in L.A. We’re [talking] about la reconquista.”

Yes...they try. Hence, they are a terrorist organization.

It would be interesting to water board them, and found out who is calling their shots...George Soros?

The SPLC is a hate group of leftist extremists who try to slime and demonize those who disagree with them. Some responsible, watch dog group should be investigating and reporting on their activities on a regular basis.

It sounds like the only reason his organization exists is to give the administration an excuse to murder a bunch of folks if needed.

Although, I think their hands are going to be plenty full with their own constituents.

From what I have read over the years this group exists to paint anyone to the right of Christy Whitman as an “extremist” and if you agree with Rush you are part of a “hate group”. They are purely political propagandists and rather obvious about it. They do identify some groups that really are extremist such as the KKK or Aryan Brotherhood but this serves mainly to give them credence when they lable ordinary conservatives as “extreme” or whatever in an effort to discredit them.

Mark Potok, their loudest mouthpiece lately, appears to have never done anything but be a “journalist” and appears to be stuck in his hippie days (daze). What a waste of perfectly good oxygen.

Radical right? Maybe they should read this.

When “communist” became a contemptuous term, it was intentionally changed to something more pleasant sounding - “Progressive” (in the 1920s). So, when you hear Hillary and Barry speak to the “Progressives”, many people are unaware of what that actually means.

When, during the primaries, Hillary said that she likes to think of herself as a “Progressive like the 1920s Progressives”, maybe she felt that she could say it out loud because of the basic ignorance of the citizens knowing what that actually means. Patriotic Democrats and/or Republicans who believe in our representative form of government are NOT “Progressives”.

Look up Cloward & Piven. ... There was a photo of them in the White House with Bill Clinton. They were a husband & wife team who devised a plan to collapse the very system of the USA so it could be replaced with “Socialism” (another word for marxist-lite aka “Progressivism”) and “Social Justice” (another keyword.. and where have you heard THAT before?). .. basically, eliminating our representative republic giving the majority of control over the people to the government. When you read their outline, you can see the parallels of what is going on today (and in prior years while we all slept).

The Progressive plan for “social justice”, unlike the communist revolutionary plan, was to make incremental changes, over years, in the system to avoid panic. (where the communist agenda was to get organized and jump right into a ‘take over’ revolution.. blow up govt buildings, etc. .. oh wait.. that’s what Barry’s friends Bernadine Dohrn and Bill Ayers did.. and said they wished they’d done more!).

So.. basically, these days, people who take the time to do their research, are finding that they’ve taken socialism, marxism, communism, liberalism (the predecessor to “Progressivism”) and the ideal for “social justice”, thrown them all into the caldron called “Progressivism”.

The cornerstone of control for the Progressive plan is the health industry. (heard anything about that lately?) Also, like you saw with the German socialists; the government gun control, take over of the banks, education, media, entertainment propaganda and the auto industries all became pieces to the puzzle working toward a quiet “fundamental change” of the country (gee, where have we heard that?). Don’t forget that the leader who caused so much devistation was elected on the platform of “change”. It took years of incremental social changes - getting everything into place - before things started getting really out of hand. .. the ‘incremental’ changes. .. the kind of changes that people didn’t think much about because all else seemed normal.. and it didn’t interfere with their personal lives at the moment. ... well, not until it was too late.

The USA is different in that we have a Constitution and Bill of Rights and are set up to be a representative republic. We also have independent States’ constitutions. (Have you noticed how many states are reaffirming their soverenty lately? They see what’s coming.) If “the people” can prevent a corrupt hijack of our election process, those are probably the only things that can save us from going over the brink. (one of the reasons to keep ACORN out of the election processes)

BUT, for the past few generations, with a Progressive plan infiltrating and embedded into the education system (using revisionist history), the media and entertainment industry (creating a breakdown in the moral fiber of the social structure & glorifying those will Progressive ideals), much of our population is unaware of any plan or that the Progressive plan is to ‘dumb down’ and lull Americans into a false sense of security of ‘let the elected people take care of things’. Most people haven’t learned (yet) that the Progressives have been working for a century to usurp our Constitution and basic fiber of what is the United States of America. ... but on the other hand, many people of BOTH parties ARE becoming aware. That is what the tea parties are all about. You see patriots of both parties raising awareness that the very fiber of our nation is on the brink of destruction at the hands of the Progressive plan.

What you’re seeing with the current administration is an unpresedented style of personal attacks on citizens and groups who educate and/or support our Constitution and basic structure of our form of representative government. They are following the Saul Alinsky method of first ignore, then ridicule and then attack and personally destroy the “threat” to their agenda. Did you know that Barry taught the Alinsky tactics when he taught “Community Organizing”? (also, it makes us remember when he was campaigning in NV & told his constituents to “Get in their Faces!”)

At Occidental, Obama says that he “sought out the more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.” And yet, there are those who choose to dismiss this guy’s radical anti-American life agenda.

People are self-educating these days. The more they recognize that the Progressive agenda is present in both major parties, the more alarm bells are going off. If people don’t become aware of the danger we’re in and start doing our jobs of alerting others and participating, we’ll end up with similarly failed and oppressive government systems like other communist and socialist countries. Our lifestyles of having the incentives and freedoms to achieve our goals will be forever lost or compromised.

So when Russ Vaughn tells those who are violating their OATH to “Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America” that “We the people find you in contempt of your constituents, and therefore unfit to continue serving in the office to which we elected you.”, I tend to applaud and agree with him.

These seemingly legitimate commie groups like the SPLC always have nice-sounding, attractive names like People for the American Way and such. It’s kind of gotten to be a red flag for me.

I’m sure, like the inappropriately named American Civil Liberties Union, you could trace the SPLC back to some hard-core, high-level communist that started the whole thing.

Nowadays, I just assume groups with names like these are infiltrated with people like Tom Daschle, Van Jones, Bill Ayers and Reverend “I-Hate-White-people Wright.
