Breaking: TVNewser has learned that Congressman Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) canceled what was to be an appearance on this evening's broadcast of "Larry King Live" a short time ago. The show's staff was told that "under the circumstances" Rangel could not do the interview tonight as planned.
Rangel's exclusive had been booked and confirmed, and it was to be he his first interview since stepping down from the chairmanship of the House Ways and Means committee. Rangel is currently the subject of multiple ethics investigations.
A CNN spokesperson tells us that producers pushed for more information from Rangel's reps, but "they just wouldn't elaborate more than that."

Larry is just too darn hard-hitting for Charlie. Actually, he should be answering questions in court under oath.
Larry...”So Charlie, how do you get your teeth so white”? “Must be upsetting to be a decorated, heroic Korean War Veteran and be questioned about your character”.
There is not enough soap in America to get the accumlated dirt off of Rangle. He should be forced to resign. Like even cleaner Repubs have suffered.
Smart move. His lawyer must have counselled him. But it would likely have been a cream puff interview.
So he reneged on the deal. I’m not surprised.
"Congressman, with your busy schedule how do you manage to do all that charity work?"
and
"How much influence have you had in the rebirth of Harlem and its falling crime rates?"
Compare this to what happened with Randy Cunningham who was a true decorated war hero. He admitted his crimes, was tried and went to jail. Now I wonder why that is not happening here.
