Anxious White men: House Democrat’s worst nightmare
The Collins Report ^ | March 4, 2010 | Fritz Wenzel

Posted on 03/04/2010 6:05:30 AM PST by jmaroneps37

The economic downturn has affected men much more than women who now represent a majority of the workforce. Many more men than women have been laid off, and the data indicates they are very anxious about this.

As Newton’s Third Law says: every action results in an equal and opposite reaction, the stage is now set for the reaction.

It may well come in November’s General Elections.

My survey work, nationally, statewide, and in local political jurisdictions, is showing white men are much more likely to look more negatively toward the federal government and more favorably toward the Tea Party movement. Washington’s failure to heed the concerns of its constituents is having its effect.

Forget the Angry White Male. Today, it’s the Anxious White Male.

A recent national Wenzel Strategies telephone survey, commissioned by WorldNetDaily.com, showed men lead 50/38 among those who have a “very positive” view of the Tea Party movement.

Very Strong “index rating”

An index rating generated by subtracting those who are “very negative” toward the Tea Party movement from those with a “very positive” opinion, shows men are much more positively disposed toward the ideals of the “Tea Partiers.” Among women, the index is +14 percentage points, for men it’s +29 points.

Index ratings measure intensity of emotion, and in politics, intensity, both positive and negative, equates to motivation that gets people to the polls.

Congress in serious trouble

When our poll of likely voters asked whether they thought Congress was doing a good or a bad job, 51% of women, but 69% of men said Congress was doing a “poor” job.

While Obama’s job approval rating in my latest national polling is 45%, just 12% give Congress positive job marks. Trouble with anxious men can bring incumbent Democrats big trouble in November.

Ramming through this health care scheme will make things still worse for House Democrats.

November 1978 could be repeated in November 2010 if the Democrats drink the Kool-Aid.

IMHO, the line between these two descriptions is vanishingly thin these days.

You're right. I'll tell you this, I'm not "anxious" ...

Congress is already in trouble. Every single Democrat is in trouble. They call the GOP the party of "No" - that's great. We're only saying "no" because what they are proposing and trying to ram down America's throat is so thoroughly socialist, fascist, big-government and anti-American. We're the party of no, they are the party of disconnected un-American socialist dreams.

Come election time, absolutely no-one, regardless of party, that votes for obamacare's abomination gets re-elected. I believe no Democrat should be (re)elected period. It is time to send a message (to both parties): you work for us, you serve at our pleasure. If/when you (of either party) forget that, we can wipe you out the very next election. So that is my hope and prayer: lets tell DC we've had more than enough, they aren't listening, they're out.

They’re already spinning the November results: Stupid angry anxious white men took it out on Obama and the democrats because of the economy that Obama inherited from Bush.

I'll agree. I caught it earlier and held my peace, but I checked and this the 4th time and the 4th thread you've posted that on today.

Please stop posting that picture. Thank you.

Especially unemployed white men, because the Obamunists are petrified that if they every stop beating their wives long enough, they’ll truck on down to the election booths and vote Republican.

If the lefty white haters know anything they know their audience. Between the unlovable feminists and the ethnic/racial proto nazis it is a sizable portion of the Dem party base that responds to “white male” bashing, and most of all its profitable. I think they will overplay this hand and end up destroying the race card, which is good for America if it does end up on the ash heap.

Nope.
Ramming through the health care scheme might cost them in 2010, but it will guarantee the Progressives (lets drop this “Democrat” crap - these people are “Third Wayers” i.e. Fascists along the line of Mussolini) future dominance of the American political stage.
They will be able to continuously campaign on “Republicans want to take away your health care!” It will be as untouchable as Social Security and even more expensive.
They’ve already spent the political capital. They’d be fools NOT to fight this out the bitter end.

It almost destroyed his presidency, but he backed away from the race card when asked about this summer’s tea party protests. Totally out of character for him to not throw the race card around, maybe one time Rahm dead fish had power to reign him in and hence saved his presidency.

Most of us only vote once in each election (the exception being mostly democrats).
