Any radical action such as proposed would result in a fantastic wipeout for the libdems. The resulting Congress could impeach the newest justice-impostors as Congress decides for itself what is impeachable. The Republican Senate should follow by removing them quickly. A simple majority in either house is necessary. By removing only the impostor justices, no new ground will be hewn for removing duly named justices.
Not just no, but hell no.
Obama has been expanding since he was sworn in: unemployment, the deficit, spending, parties in the White House, guest chefs, government employees, malaise, hopelessness, racial tension, personal debt of most Americans, wreckless foreign policy, etc., etc., etc.
Didn’t work for FDR either.
:-)
Why not king? He thinks he is already.
Wow. I knew the Philly Inquirer was left-wing, but I didn’t realize it was so radical socialist left that it advocated such a brazen tactic of stuffing the Supreme Court with enough leftist judges so that Obama’s precious socialist utopia cannot be challenged in a court of law.
If Hussein tried this, it would be the biggest power grab of our lifetimes. I’d be afraid to even think of where this country would go if such a thing were actually done.
Guys, this is EXACTLY what FDR proposed prior to pushing through the New Deal, as I recall. He threatened to outnumber the conservatives on the Court by literally overwhelming their numbers.
In the end, the Supreme Court let through his proprosals, even though they were constitutionally deficient.
It’s called “Packing the Court.”

Just think about how much faster a stacked Supreme Court could trash the Constitution. :)
What a fantastic idea. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
....no seriously, you libs are LUNATICS....
More and more, I fear this government (namely Obama) has no idea the fire storm he is creating with the American people.
Or maybe he does, and that’s his intent all along...
They would only do that, if they were certain, absolutely certain, that they would win. This leads to the question, "What do they know, that I do not?"

That horse has left the barn.
Besides, I'm not even sure they could get FIFTY votes in the Senate in this political climate.
However, come 2012, I would be surprised to find the GOP has the votes to add 3 more:)
Crazy libtards and progressives coming more and more out of the woodwork every day....
You’ll have Civil War if he rams this through.
I would like to see him try.
The GOP would knock out nearly every incumbent Democrat up for reelection this year.
Makes sense. They truly believe they have to do their agenda, no matter what. So with Congress not looking like it will help out, they will just work around things.
Real question is what comes next?
So if nine justices is not writ in stone, the embattled President Obama should deal with this hostile conservative/reactionary court by adding three members.Yeah, that idea worked out great for FDR. What kind of maroon writes this junk? Thanks TornadoAlley3.
