Concerning the “I’m voting for Obama,” part, when you scroll down, you can read where it says that Ivins says that he was afraid of Dick Cheney, that he said that the Patriot Act was unconstitutional and that he was going to vote for Obama.

Well, I saw the earlier FBI release after his suicide that said he was guilty of the anthrax mailings, case closed. But this is the first time I’ve seen all these details. He has a female underwear fetish, he cross dresses, he hates Cheney, and he voted for Obama.
Worst of all, he even said “I hate the NY Yankees!”
That does it. I didn’t believe it before, but now I say, Guilty.

No, I don’t believe Dr. Ivin is the Amerithrax man. That would be Abdul Raul and the Al-Queda associates given free roam of university microbiology acedemic programs. Yes, the anthrax was of the Ivin’s silica variety, but the material was stolen from Iowa State University by foreigners under AQ Ayman al-Zawahiri, just as they stated. Likely delivery via Jabbar, who died on flight 587, 11/21/01.

The problem with what you posit is that don’t we hear all the time from liberals that TV anchor guys like Brokaw aren’t liberal?

But, given that liberals say that Brokaw isn’t really a liberal, did Ivins consider Daschle to not be a liberal?

At the time Daschle was liberal among liberals. Brokaw comes off like Brian Williams. Rather soft-spoken about it but it’s part of the agenda; or so he came off to me anyways.
I don’t remember what the other targets were.
I would have imagined a guy like this would have targeted Limbaugh, perhaps BOR (at that time), and somebody the direct opposite of Daschle,etc.

This doesnt' add up. No indication he wrote for Media Matters or the New York Times.
Hopefully the FBI has some more relevant evidence for Ivins’ guilt in the anthrax mailings than the facts that he was a cross-dresser, obsessed with a sorority, and wanted to vote for Obama.

Yep. These quirks are embarrassing to him (or would be if he were still alive) but are pretty harmless. They have nothing to do with his anthrax-mailing, unless their 'outing' tells us the FBI has no real evidence against him and is desperate to get a 'conviction' in the media.

I’m wondering about that too. The guy may have had access but the targets don’t add up. He had very specific targets. Hmmmm .....
