The only vetting the media does now is to vet by criticism those who would criticize their chosen candidate. If they are not the chosen candidate, then they may actually put a little work into vetting, but it is mostly attacking to see what sticks.

Here's something funny in an ironic kind of way. Y'all remember "Blue's Clues", the kid show about the blue dog and a guy named Steve? Turns out Steve was a flaming liberal, and when McCain introduced Sarah Palin as his VP candidate, Steve made a little cartoon called "The Vet Who Did Not Vet".

Amazing that he was soooooooo close in predicting what he believed would happen if Sarah Palin were elected--but the predictions came true for Obama! Dang, that's gonna leave a mark. Schadenfreude!

Yeah you have the numbers on that? Wasn’t it like 10s or 100s of more reporters digging dirt than ever checked on Obami Kenyan relatives, Ayers, Dr. John C. Drew, Frank Marshall Davis, and Bernardine Dohrn etc etc? How much money was spent on finding negative info on Palin compared to Obama? Which one was running for Prez.
