Actaully it's a little bit of his religion and hell of a lot of his fake smile and liberal tendencies...

I don't which one a person picks to oppose him on as long as he gets kicked to the curb, but his politics are more then sufficient for a Conservative to oppose him on.

Dumb@ss. It doesn’t matter because he’s an F-ing liberal. If he were a conservative and facing the same antipathy you might have a point, but he has no basis to expect conservatives to support him, nor should you.

Another point is, if people hate Mormons so much how do you explain Glenn Beck’s ratings.

Your spinning the same liberal victimhood BS.

>He’s a liberal. Why would conservatives support him>

For the same reason many on FR support the
NeoLeftist, Anti War, 9/11 Truther Ron Paul and
Medina in Tex.

You’re full of shit. He’s a liberal. Why would conservatives support him. Whether people don’t support him because of his religion or not, ultimately he could be a Evangelical and conservatives still would not support him because he is an F-ing liberal.

Anyone who bases their support (or non-support) of a candidate on the candidate's religion is full of sh-t.

As for Romney, I'll agree with big'ol_freeper. I can't support Romney based on his record of flaming progressivism. Romney's religion is irrelevant to me.

I said to stop swearing at me and this is your last warning to stop calling me names.

It is a given that Romney is not a conservative, but he will not win the nomination because he’s a Mormon.

Conservatives do not get to decide the nominee. Moderate Republicans also vote, and a majority of

Evangelicas and Catholics likely won’t vote for a Mormon.

Comprehend?

And they didn't even get his name right.

In conservative circles, his name is Mitt Romneycare.
It is improper to ever render his name without the suffix.

Name recognition generally trumps reason.

I get the feeling that if a politician named “Charles Manson” ran for President, he would get at least 25% of the vote based on name recognition alone.

The US electorate is so collectively dumbed-down at this point, I don’t see how we survive it. A Republic requires an informed, moral electorate, both of which we are losing at a rapid rate. I admire the goal of FreeRepublic to reverse the trend, but with decades of government schools brainwashing children, I just can’t see it.

If somebody can show me some evidence or some method to make the great body of people both informed and moral, I will be more than willing to listen. I want NOTHING, absolutely nothing, more than I want to be hopeful about the future of America but I do not see a trend that leans toward hopefulness. I see a dumbed-down, morally relative populace offering more power to the US central government in exchange for more and more entitlements.

Yeah... I comprehend you’re a dumb@ss.

You state that conservatives won’t support a guy you admit is NOT A CONSERVATIVE because he is a Mormon. How ‘bout BECAUSE HE IS NOT A CONSERVATIVE brainiac?

I’m and idiot? LOL...you’re the one who thinks that if Romney was not a Mormon conservatives would vote for him, despite the fact you state he is not a conservative.

That fact is he is not even a moderate. He is a F-ing liberal.

Twit.

Democrat polling firm but since they got the Scott Brown race right (even by 5) I’ll read them until they pull a Zogby.

The Brown election was days away when PPP called the election correctly. Thus the need for any pollster to call an election correctly that close to an election.

In this case, this far out from any primary, it would be very hard to prove PPP wrong. Thus the likely-hood that push poll mischief becomes more likely in this case.

Thanks. Not sure why they are including the Presidential quesiton in a poll that seems to be about the gov. race. The data was taken Feb. 19-21. I’d not put much credence to the data regarding presidential info. Romney got 2% in 08 but had already pulled out by then I believe. I don’t think you’ll find Tx to be a Romney hotbed.

They are showing Perry at 40%, Hutchison at 31% and Medina at 20%. I can’t remember their last polling numbers on the gov. race.
