Wasn’t he the one who wanted to see proof of BO’s natural-born status before the electoral votes were counted in December 2008?

I’ve been hearing a lot lately about how Mexican nationals are taking over Georgia. We’ll probably lose this seat, huh?

I doesn’t look like it. Fiscally at least.

“We believe that today’s tax system is destroying jobs and burdening low-income and middle-income families. We propose abolishing income taxes, payroll taxes, and other federal taxes and replacing them with a simple federal sales tax.”
John Linder in the Boston Globe

There is a reference to that on his site.

Several members of the state legislature are being mentioned as potential successors.

Three terms lifetime max in the House, one in the Senate. A ‘Pub who has overstayed his welcome & usefulness by 12 years. Thus to all politicians, who with rare exceptions, become members of the Appropriators Party when they go to Washington. “Massive overspending and earmarks, everyone?”

If I’m not mistaken, Bob Barr is no longer a Republican.

I partly agree with you. IMHO, the term limits on Congressmen and Senators would be equal. 12 years each would be plenty.

Bob Barr was at CPAC. Knowing Barr, I would not be surprised if he declares himself a GOPer again just get the perks in Congress.

John wasn’t a RINO.
And he and Boortz wrote one or two Fairtax books and John was the PRIME MOVER of the Fairtax in the House.
I live in his district and he’s done a good job.

Not at all. A big conservative. Don’t worry his district does not even run democrats. So another conservative should replace John.

Yes it is safe for Republicans. This is my district. I would love to see my State Rep. Tom Rice run for this seat...

That’s why I put a question mark on it. I was wondering. It’s easier (and more direct) to be lazy and ask the informed people on FR rather than look it up myself.
