The President believes strongly that Thursdays bipartisan meeting on health insurance reform will be most productive if both sides come to the table with a unified plan to start discussion and if the public has the opportunity to inspect those proposals up close before the meeting happens.
Thats why yesterday the White House posted online the Presidents proposal for bridging the differences between the Senate- and House-passed health insurance reform bills. The proposal puts American families and small business owners in control of their own health care. It makes insurance more affordable by providing the largest middle-class tax cuts for health care in history, it ends discrimination based on pre-existing conditions, holds insurance companies accountable, and reduces our deficit by $100 billion over the next 10 years.
But you dont have to take our word for it: the proposal is posted right here at WhiteHouse.gov for everyone to examine. You can read through the plans bipartisan ideas section by section, or you can select your health care status and find out what the proposal would mean for you. You can even submit a question for our policy staff to answer.
What you cant do just yet is read about the Republicans consensus plan because so far they havent announced what proposal theyll be bringing to the table.

Looks like the games are on (and not the Olympic games either). The writer is trying to poison the well so to speak. Truly they are trying to setup the Republicans for an ambush tomorrow....THIS IS CHICAGO POLITICS...and I should know as I lived there!

From the White House? This sort of bashing is what Chicago thugs do, it’s not at all what a leader does.

Wow! Zero keeps HIS plan secret for a year, finally posts a piece of crap on the web, then declares a victory of one upsmanship.
Way to go.

Why. This is a setup to blame the Republicans. Of course, the RINOS will comply.

So where IS his plan? There’s a lot on the WH blog _about_ the plan, but I don’t see the plan. Funny how they spend so much time telling how wonderful it is without letting us inspect it.

The Republicans are morons to play Obama’s game and think they can beat him.
He makes all the announcements, he sets the rules, and he controls the cameras. And if he screws up, the Enemedia will jump in and help him out.
How are the Republicans going to beat that?

NO they don’t. The Dummies have the voting majority.
They are just pulling a bait and switch.
NEVER EVER give the Dums credit for being reasonable.
It is not in their DNA.

Gees. The GOP has had it out there since Nov 2009. These people are morons who speak in talking points. Global Warming, it is 1000 degrees in DC right now. Except the thermometer says otherwise. Get a brain.
