Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland leads Republican challenger John Kasich in the race to be Ohio's next governor, 44 - 39 percent, up from a 40 - 40 deadlock November 11, and has improved his standing slightly, but consistently, on a broad array of measures, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

This will not be a good year to be a Democrat.

Strickland leads Kasich 48 - 33 percent among women while Kasich leads 45 - 38 percent among men.

Sigh.

Voters mostly disapprove 56 - 33 percent of the current health care reform plan, but say 53 - 44 percent that Obama and Congress should keep trying to pass reform legislation.

How the hell is this possible? The American public needs to get on some sort of medication for dementia.

I think Americans realize there are some changes, such as tort reform and increasing competition, that would help to curtail cost increases. However, those are not what the Dems are proposing.

"Strickland leads Kasich 48 - 33 percent among women while Kasich leads 45 - 38 percent among men. Kasich leads 73 - 11 percent among Republicans, while the Governor leads 82 - 9 percent among Democrats. Independent voters split 38 - 38 percent."

Like I said, worse thing we ever did was give women the vote. Th Founding Fathers knew exactly what they were doing when they denied them way back when

There is a long way to go and the campaigns have yet to engage on the issues.

The latter part of your statement makes my point: why would they say they want Obama and Congress to keep trying? OBVIOUSLY Obama and the Dems haven no fscking idea what they’re doing.

I agree with tort reform and national insurance portability, but not what the Demonrats are proposing.

Keep the faith and read THIS:

John Kasich remains unknown to most voters. The campaign will be a race by the candidates to define Kasich for the 62 percent of voters who don't know enough about him to have an opinion," Brown said. "Given that, the race's closeness may say much about Strickland. While the Governor's horserace numbers are good, he has a long way to go and what is keeping him ahead is his support among women."

The American sheeple are more interested in Michelle Obama’s great arms (as characterized by the MSM) and her crusade against fat kids, as well as the name the Obamas will give their puppy.

As one genius Obama voter said before the election, “I gonna vote for Blam Blama (couldn’t even pronounce “Barack Obama”).

Just how “reliable” is the “Quinnipiac University poll”?

“How the hell is this possible? The American public needs to get on some sort of medication for dementia.”

You underestimate how many idiots are in the USA now.
Yes, I guess in a poll, most people would say, “gee, it would be nice to solve whatever healthcare problems that there may be.”

Kool Aid drinking stupid women. Savage says the women are going to save us. I think the total opposite. Look at all the idiot women in the House and Senate. They are helping to ruin the country. As a conservative woman I can count on one hand the number of role models we have - Palin, Bachman, Blackburn, Liz Cheney, Thatcher

From the Movie “As Good As It Gets” w/ Jack Nicholson:

Receptionist: How do you write women so well?

Melvin Udall (Nicholson): I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability.

this poll is nonsense. Strickland’s unpopularity is growing, not improving.

If it will make you feel any better,
if you break down the female vote
by single vs married

you’ll see that the married women vote conservative in the same percentages as men,

while those who view the government as a “man replacement”
vote for the “take care of me” party.

In theory, sexual equality was supposed to counteract the desire for more and more nanny Gov. Either we’re not there yet or the theoretical “models” are no more than GIGO (garbage in, garbage out). ;-)
