I don't know when or where or even if Joe Scarborough's radio show airs in my area, nor do I care. The other night, a friend caught this clip from his radio show and sent it to me. It's about a blog that is published by the organization I head.

"NewsBusters, which just loves writing negative articles about me, I don't know why, a lot of really false ones and I don't know what's actually gotten into Brent Bozell, but he actually goes out of his way to write false articles about me now ...They just distort the news for their own purposes."

Now I know why MSNBC hired Joe Scarborough. He's about as accurate and honest as everyone else there.

I think Joe is in a difficult situation at MSNBC. He has a bunch of nuts around him that he has to keep moderated. All in all, I think he does a good job with that. He brings MSNBC from the far left to the squishy middle, at least for 3 hours per day. That's a major accomplishment. If he moderated from the right, he would be gone in a skinny minute via the same route of Scarborough Country. Yes it sucks that he points out Republicans shortcomings and it is not right for him to bash Palin. But he has to throw her under the bus just to get the kooks to watch the next day. Consider the network.

His fawning over Hillary Clinton a few years ago was no fluke, though he seemed to come out of it, in fits and starts, in the way he’s assessed Obama.
The problem with Scarborough is he’s truly a loose cannon, but to no avail: his inconsistency undermines the still-good things about him, and his mind and analytic powers are just not sharp or original enough to make you care about anything else he says, whether he sounds like a Lib one day, a Conservative the next, a Libertarian the day after that, or an Indy the day after THAT.He’s forever referencing his time in Congress as if it were earth-shaking in its implications for American Politics of the 90s. Also the format of the show , with this enforced Mika relationship , is REALLY hard to take. Mika has NOTHING to say, her whole project involves faking it between sounding cute and sounding smart. She only succeeds in the first/

I have never heard that bandied about but it would go a long way in explaining a dead intern and his subsequent transition away from the “public service” career.

Within the sphere of insider (that is, law enforcement and DEA) knowledge in the Pensacola, FL panhandle area that was his district, it was well known that he chased the white line.
