Is Congress gridlocked and broken?...(YES,Thank God!)

Washington (CNN) -- Two months into the new year, Congress is at a standstill, stuck in party-line votes, heated debates and electoral politics. And there's no indication that will change before mid-term elections in November, political observers say: Democrats are afraid to take chances on anything that might alienate voters, and Republicans can stand pat and hope the anti-incumbent mood brewing in the country will help weaken Democrats' control of Congress. "The problem is the combination of highly ideologically polarizing political parties operating at sort of near parity," said Thomas Mann, a congressional scholar at the nonpartisan Brookings Institution.

GRIDLOCK: A condition which exists when democrats are unable to convince RINOs to betray the American people. But of course when republicans have the majority and democrats block the agenda, we have “thoughtful governance!”

If Mr. Mann thinks the system working how it was intended is a problem, he’s not a congressional scholar.

This is so phony. Were any of these liberal rags complaining about a broken system when the democrats were filibustering everything by Bush?

The system is working, there's nothing wrong with it. The fact is this is a very partisan and divisive president whether they want to admit it or not.

Why the hell do we need a full time congress? It’s a part time job at best and America would be better off if they only worked part time. There’s to damn many laws as it is.

Congress is gridlocked, but most certainly not broken.

Barry lied to the people to get elected, claiming to be a tax cutting, fiscally responsible moderate, willing to compromise and work with Republicans.

Instead, he has tried to govern as a brass knuckles machine politician ramming through a far left agenda.

The American people are saying NO! loud and clear to this. Washington isn't "broken," it's working. Washington is reflecting the will of the American people and stopping an agenda they don't want. Just as the Framers intended.

I hope the Republicans realize that the “anti-incumbent” mood is for some of them as well!
