Call it triangulation: Palin takes the small-government grassroots, Romney takes the centrists, and Huck takes the Christian conservatives, banking on the fact that his niche in a three-way race is slightly bigger than the other two.

Actually, Palin takes both the small-government grassroots and the Christian Conservatives while Romney takes RINOs and Mormons, and the Huckster takes those Christians who really, really like the Big-Top, Big-TV Christian Evangelists who prey on the gullible.

If you send money to Benny Hinn, you'll likely back the Huckster.

Huckabee doesn’t know the difference between being born again and born yesterday.

Huck is the dream candidate for many of my West Virginia neighbors: pro-life, pro-gun, pro-God, pro-military but also pro-lawyer, pro-union and pro-as much government cheese as they can cram in their mouth.

Palin takes the small-government grassroots

Well she seems to share the belicose neo-conservative love of the endless wars in the Middle East. (Hmm, isn't Bill Kristol one of her main foreign policy advisors). She wants to increase government funding for 'special needs' children.

What exactly do you base her "small government" credentials on?

She may turn out to be a standard bearer for small government, but so far I'm in wait and see mode.

Gov. Gary Johnson, of New Mexico, for instance actually CUT the size of his states Govt. by 7000 employees.

Palin's goals as Gov: "Palin declared that top priorities of her administration would be resource development, education and workforce development, public health and safety, and transportation and infrastructure development"

So far I'm not seeing the level of expertise and experience I think we need. She is a great motivational speaker, to a certain segment of America.

So was Obama. That's not enough.
