The academic at the centre of the ‘Climategate’ affair, whose raw data is crucial to the theory of climate change, has admitted that he has trouble ‘keeping track’ of the information. Colleagues say that the reason Professor Phil Jones has refused Freedom of Information requests is that he may have actually lost the relevant papers. Professor Jones told the BBC yesterday there was truth in the observations of colleagues that he lacked organisational skills, that his office was swamped with piles of paper and that his record keeping is ‘not as good as it should be’.

And this critical data, on which trillions of dollars were going to be spent, and several Nobel prizes were won, had only one copy?. For God's sake I have two copies of last years digital Christmas pictures. Doesn't anybody do backups on the computer at the University of East Anglia?

Phil Jones is a lair and a fraud. Nothing more needs to be said about his behavior. He should be water boarded until he tells the truth. He should also be fired by the university and stripped of any pension to which he is entitled.

If we had an Air Force general who insisted that we spend trillions of dollars to develop photon torpedoes to fight the Klingons, but he just happened to lose everything from Project Blue Book which proved his assertions of alien invasion, we would laugh him out of the Pentagon. The same should happen to Dr. Jones.
