WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House readied its last-ditch effort to salvage health care legislation while the Senate's Republican leader warned Democrats against the go-it-alone approach.
The White House was expected to post a version of President Barack Obama's plan for overhauling health care on its Web site on Monday, ahead of his critical and daring summit at Blair House on Thursday.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Sunday he would participate, but that Obama and congressional Democrats would be "arrogant" to push the bills they wrote in the House and Senate.

I just bet the commiecare plan will have many of the nasty stuff out of it to make the GOP look bad.
You can damn well bet that when this atrocity is voted on, all that and worse will be back in there.
But...they will get away with it as they always do. America is paralyzed.

So if O is making up his mind on Monday, what's the point of the summit on Thursday? (That's a rhetorical question...)
Imagine a world where lying does not exist. In such a world, this probably be close to Obama’s statement:
We’re going to write our version of this bill. You write your own version. Then during our “summit” we’ll explain in a very haughty tone why we have to have everything we want and you can’t have anything you want. If you disagree, we’ll blame the failure on you and claim you are not interested in helping people.
Let them own it, let them choke on it.

Obama seems to think he is President, Legislature, AND Supreme Court. Or that he would suffice, if only the pesky others would get out of his way.

Let me guess: the plan will be bigger government, bigger deficits, higher costs, lower quality, and, of course, higher taxes. What a surprise!
You get a kudo. That is exactly the plan and the Gubmint run media will go with it to the nausea point.
If it involves taxation it must begin in the House, and the Senate can take no action until the House finalizes, as bills involving taxation and spending must originate in the HoR. This process could go on till the Fall.
AuschwitzCare would be an apt name for what he wants, IMO.
McConnel has no say in it. He never did.
I think it will be interesting to find out if they can even get a majority of Democrats to go along.
If I were McConnell, I would say I'm really in favor of health care reform. First let's help affordability. Let's start with tort reform. Then let's meet again after that passes and is signed into law.
