WHEN President Barack Obama’s secret service codename was revealed as Renegade and his wife Michelle’s as Renaissance, the names seemed perfect for a first couple who had come to Washington to shake things up.
More than a year into the Obama administration, with healthcare yet to be reformed, Wall Street banks continuing to pay huge bonuses and Guantanamo Bay prison still open, that mood of hope has turned to disillusion. Obama’s policy of engagement has yielded no progress in the Middle East or Iran; the war in Afghanistan continues to exact a big toll in lives and dollars; while the heaviest snow in Washington for 90 years seems to have stymied any hope of climate change legislation.
The president and his team now find themselves under fire for mishandling Congress from everyone from senior Democrats to social columnists. Critics say that by failing to move on from the “us versus them” feeling of the Obama election campaign, they have united an opposition that was in disarray. The result is legislative paralysis despite the biggest Democratic majority in 30 years.
Last week a prominent Democratic senator resigned after criticising both government and Congress. Evan Bayh from Indiana, who had never lost a race and was expected to be re-elected in November, complained that the party’s recent loss of the Senate seat of the late Ted Kennedy should have been seen as a wake-up call.

Obama is the head of the “Chicago Mafia” in the White House. He is the Don..the Godfather. However he is an young inexperinced Godfather who likes the limelight...and is an Ego-Maniac.....I think Obama is the “John Gotti” of the “Chicago Mafia” in the WH. We who suffer in Illinois have seen this all before when Blago and the Rats got complete control of out state. Runaway spending but yet the basic bills not being paid. Money going to organizations which are thinly disguised branches of Democrat organization. We now know what happened in Illinois was just the Rats opening their act in a smaller market before taking it to the big stage. They are not incompetent. This is their plan.

Rahm is a major part of the problem. I don’t recall a more sophmoric person serving in the White House. No doubt that countless Dems in Congress can’t stand him, but have to pretend otherwise. I don’t recall Rahm being competent in any previous position whether it was his juvenile antics in the Clinton White House, his role in advancing the real estate crisis and now in his strong arming of his fellow Dems. Barry obviously is a poor judge of character as he bungles his way to the end of his one-term presidency.

I am contributing some material for a novelization with a twist upon hijackers, instead of Islamic terrorists my storyline is about a group of hundreds of average Americans from all walks of life, they manage to escape profiling and being that most of them have trusted access to aircraft decide to attack the current President with over 100 simultaneous aircraft made up of small Cessnas, DC3’s, Citations and even the last remaining B-24 bomber.
The President escapes by an underground tunnel and is whisked away in his armored Cadillac, unknown to the Secret Service a lone mechanic has sabotaged the safe car and it breaks down, surrounded by angry Americans the Secret Service commandeers a tour bus and are the pursued by anything on wheels from mopeds to big rigs.
Escaping everyone the POTUS is advised not to travel to the traditional safe retreats as by now they are all well known thanks to the internet and Google Earth.
He looks for a haven, where in America can he go?

This line is a classic, it should be preserved for all time. At this point any sensible writer would be saying that the heavy snow underlines the fact that climate change legislation is an absurdity in the face of admissions that the whole global warming fiasco is made up out of whole cloth junk science. But no, this clown is disappointed because we may not waste a few trillion on this warming idiocy.
I read the Peter principle long ago and agree with it up to a point but there are always some people who remain at a level where they are competent and some who can never get a promotion even though they are capable of working at a much higher level. There are a few who refuse promotion, preferring to remain at a level where they can totally outshine everyone else.
It is certainly true though that there is a tendency for people to be promoted to a level they can’t really handle and then stick there.

You are still not facing reality. Barry is a puppet, he NEVER intended to do anything positive for America and his handlers never expected that he would be reelected in an honest election.

Thats the problem here on some forums, certain people take thinks personally or literally, never mind free speech they say, just lock them up, feed them some happy pills so we won’t be threatened.
