So last night that race-peddlin’ buffoon over at MSNBC… wait, that’s pretty much everyone on that network. Let me be more specific. OK, so, last night Keith Olbermann used his self-parodying Special Comment segment to ask the following question: Where are the people of color at the Tea Parties? Now, implying and outright saying that Tea Party protesters are racist is commonplace in the far left. No news there. But two things in particular bother me about his question:
First, his choice of words. People of color? Who are these colored people he’s referring to? What does that mean? It may be because I’m not a native English speaker, but I find this “people of color” business to be really bizarre. So as a Boricua, am I colored? I guess I’m olive but if I hit the beach on a sunny day I can be golden brown. Is he referring strictly to skin color? Culture? Ethnicity? I mean, I’m not that much darker than Mr. Olbermann himself. Do I fall into his “people of color” category?

We’re all one color or another. And our skin tones change with exposure to the sun. However, since Olbermann wants to talk about color, does he mention his own pink face?
Race is a huge issue and vote getter for democrats. If Obama weren’t president, we would see a heckuva lot more blacks in those videos.

Btw, people like Olbermann are going to be in for a big shock next November. I’ve been roaming around the internet and I notice there are a bucketload of racial minorities (blacks, asians, etc) running in congressional races...AS REPUBLICANS.
That should be just in time for him to call them “sellouts.”

I guess if people of color don’t show up at tea parties to protest the Fedgov taking over huge portions of our society, they are perfectly happy to be made into slaves once again.

The people of color do not have any idea what is at stake. My sweetie teaches at a southside Chicago inner city Catholic school. He has a BA from Iowa, and a MA in Ed. Admin from the University of Chicago. Do you want to know the first person who told him the states gave birth to the federal gov’t, not the other way around? Me.
He did not know the reasoning behind the original 3/5ths rule until I told him.
He did not know that Republicans were formed as the ANTI-SLAVERY party and fought the Klan for a hundred plus years until I told him.
I could go on for an hour, seriously. He started as a left wing lib when I met him, he’s safely conservative now. He’s even joined a local conservative group of people from his old high school.
In college, he had to attend lectures given by Bill Ayers. Yes, that one.
His sister has worked for Public Allies (Michelle Obama’s outfit)
But this is what we’re up against..complete indoctrination in our institutions.
On a happier note, he was sent an autographed copy of Liberty and Tyranny for Valentine’s Day. We gotta start somewhere...

This is great to see. The more - the better. I want to see people of all colors at the tea parties.
