OAKLAND “” A 67-year-old man captured in a YouTube video beating a fellow AC Transit passenger Tuesday is the same man whom Oakland police stunned twice with a Taser gun in August during an A”s baseball game.
The latest altercation involving Thomas Bruso began when a younger man on the bus began yelling at Bruso, who calls himself “Tom Slick,” “Vietnam Tom” and “Epic Beard Man.”
Bruso was taken to the John George Psychiatric Pavilion for an evaluation after he struck the male passenger several times with his fist and continued to rant about the incident, Alameda County Sheriff”s spokesman Sgt. J.D. Nelson said.
