My point is simply to avoid escalating the situation (which both parties did). Violence did not have to happen in this instance just as it does not have to happen in most instances.

I've read your posts. Don't make eye contact, keep your mouth shut and move away. I guess that's one way to "survive". You have the right to do it.

What do you do if that doesn't work?
