The assassination could have unwanted diplomatic repercussions for Israel
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - Israeli security officials said Wednesday they were convinced the Mossad was behind the assassination of a Hamas commander in Dubai and harshly criticized the spy agency for allegedly stealing the identities of its own citizens to carry out the hit.
Names released by Dubai matched seven people living in Israel, raising questions about why the agency would endanger its own people by using their passport data as cover for a secret death squad.
At the same time, some Israeli experts said the Dubai evidence pointed to a setup to falsely blame Israel.
A vague comment from Israel's foreign minister, who neither confirmed nor denied Mossad's involvement, only added to the spy novel-like mystery surrounding the slaying of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, who was found dead Jan. 20 at a luxury hotel near Dubai's international airport.
"Israel never responds, never confirms and never denies," Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said in Israel's first official comment on the affair, then added: "I don't know why we are assuming that Israel, or the Mossad, used those passports."

Personally, I think it probably is Mossad because I can't believe Obama would pull the trigger on this kind of op, IMHO.
Isn’t Israeli security and Mossad, one in the same?
Glad to see someone’s intelligence agency is still taking out Terrorists and the people that help them......Wish our CIA would......
Thank God for Mossad......
If Mossad was behind it, you would think they would implicate Iran.
Besideswhich, why have the Dubai LEOs extradited two Palestinians from Jordan who they are still interrogating? At first the Palestinian Authority would say nothing, but now they admit that one of them is a Pelestinian Authority OFFICIAL, although they still haven't given names.
NO way the Mossad is this sloppy nowadays.
First reaction — good for them. Reasonably well executed. Get ‘er done.
On follow-up ... must’ve been somewhat botched if we know it was them. Isn’t Mossad the Israeli equivalent of U.S. Black Ops? A truly successful operation is one the public learns about in 20 years, not 20 days.

Well, I assume that just because someone works in "Israeli security", doesn't mean that they work in Mossad. After all, we have people who work in the FBI, but haven't a clue what goes on at CIA or NSA. "Israeli security" is a pretty broad definition, IMHO.
...unless they wanted to take the opportunity to send a message.
Don’t kid yourself. Zero is very capable of violence.
He is a nasty person.
Frankly I think Americans will find this out before he is kicked out of office.
I was hoping somebody post Ziva picture on this picture wait a minute she no longer with Mossad

Let me guess...Israeli security officials are self hating Jews right?

There's plenty of freepers who do NOT believe that this is a Meir Dagan hit team, NO way.
I think you are right hennie pennie....furthermore they would not have been on video...which itself is sloppy.
Mossad is too fine tuned to have been so open about this...and to devert the attention to Israel, (what’s new), is just to keep authorities from looking where they need to...thus the more time the further away from the crime the quilty will get.
OK

If Mossad, an amazingly inept job. Living persons passports, Israelis no less, and identified almost immediately. In fact caught on tape. And no one arrested but two palestinians. Possible, heads should roll, but Hamas may have another enemy or two out there.
Two palestinians were arrested.
The sky is blue. Mossad responsible.
Someone else mentioned that, but the AP doesn't state that in their story. More on those two may be found at the story below...
Dubai assassination - police hunt six new suspects
It's also interesting that Mossad - if that's who really did it - stole the identities of Israeli citizens to execute the plan. It's curious and more than a little puzzling.
It was in some articles a few days ago, they were extradited from Jordan. Using identities of actual Israeli citizens, that’s not curious, it’s stupid. Opens up all sorts of legal and civil action within Israel. if Mossad did it, it’s a truely amateur job, and heads should roll.
Did you realize they stole the identities of Israeli citizens to this end? Now the Israeli citizens are said to be hiding due to fear of retaliation.
“Isnt Mossad the Israeli equivalent of U.S. Black Ops?”
No.
Mossad is the equivalent of CIA.
Shin Bet is the equivalent of FBI
Sayeret Matkal is the equivalent of Special Forces Units
Well seeing as the newsmedia has been showing the pics of the ACTUAL people who did the hit....The people should know that they didn’t do the dirty deed......
ok, I confess.
I DID IT.
,( :>)
There you have gone and done...it wow hubba hubba.....wow..Hot Hot Hot...She can frisk me anytime..
OTHER photographs of people represent the VICTIMS OF IDENTITY THEFT, they are the passport holders, who had NOTHING to do with this.
Their photographs are being shown ALL OVER THE EARTH as terrorists who killed the founder of Hamas.
I wish that the MSM could be prosecuted, alot of the MSM belongs in prison.
Aren’t you flattering our CIA, to make any semblance of equivalency between the two???
If it was Israeli passports, chances are it isn’t Mossad, but someone among the Palis looking to frame Mossad and thereby CTOA.
