Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli turned up the heat on global warming yesterday.
On behalf of the state, Cuccinelli filed a petition asking the federal Environmental Protection Agency to reconsider its December finding that global warming poses a threat to people.
Cuccinelli also filed a petition with the federal appeals court in Washington seeking a court review of the EPA finding.

Well, I did a search on the Times-Dispatch headline and came up empty. I think the post is still relevant because of the way the reporter mischaracterized the EPA finding. Who would contend that global warming is not “bad”? Who would contend that breathing is “bad”?
The EPA said breathing is bad, not that global warming is bad.
1 state down,
56 states to go....and this country can take this country back from the current corruption riddled, mafia (chicago) controlled, communist partyUSA influenced, ‘federal’ ‘government’!
Are you referring to your link? If so, it works for me. ... or are you referring to whether Virginia is going after the EPA, which is confirmed by other sources ... or something else? I'm confused.
"I think the post is still relevant because of the way the reporter mischaracterized the EPA finding. The EPA said breathing is bad, not that global warming is bad."
Sadly, sloppy reporting and editing by the media is becoming the norm.
"Who would contend that global warming is not 'bad'? Who would contend that breathing is 'bad'?"
Actually, many claim that the globe would benefit from a bit more global warming than we have presently have ... and it is an inescapable fact that the ecotard left holds human life secondary to the environment.
Yes, this reporter is an idiot. The EPA found that carbon dioxide was within its regulatory purview. That’s a way different legal and factual issue than presented by this highly stupid story -— and one highly amenable to litigation as arbitrary and capricious, among other legal thresholds.
Whoever wrote and published this ignorant piece should be highly embarrassed.
"On behalf of the state, Cuccinelli filed a petition asking the federal Environmental Protection Agency to reconsider its December finding that global warming poses a threat to people."
Amazing! Without actually reading the petition, which clearly the reporter, editor, or owners of the Richmond Times Dispatch also certainly did not, there is NO way that the petition was concerned with a finding "that global warming poses a threat to people."
This is classic manufactured, distorted, generalized, bias in the Media's mind. They are below the threshold of average intelligence. Ken Cuccinelli, working with the Governor, simply is NOT going to file a petition of which specific intent is to question "finding that global warming poses a threat to people." The petition may indeed involve, and probably does, the indictment of Carbon Dioxide by the EPA - certainly legitimate refutation. But that is not the same thing as questioning "that global warming poses a threat to people."
Another example of the bigotry of the Media; and we mean here bigotry in its most primal sense, the absolute inability, pathologically, politically, and intelligently, to face up to objective reporting.
All the media (in America) make things up in accord with their own bigotry. The demise of science.
