There's no telling what conservative political analyst Ann Coulter will say when she speaks at the Manatee County Republican Party's Lincoln Day dinner on Saturday.
But there's one thing local GOP leader Kathleen King is certain she won't hear: any apologies.
Coulter has made a career out of getting under the skin of her adversaries. She has accused 9/11 widows of profiting from their husbands' deaths, declared that liberals don't really love America, and has called for the United States to invade other nations and convert them to Christianity to protect America.
"We appreciate the fact that she has spunk," King said of why she invited Coulter, despite her reputation of making outrageous comments.
Republicans admire that Coulter, a frequent guest on both conservative and liberal talk shows, stands her ground and makes no apologies for holding strong views, even if they are unpopular.
Beside Coulter, U.S. Reps. Adam Putnam and Vern Buchanan are also expected to address the crowd.It's gonna be tricky for her to get here when she is speaking at CPAC on the same day!
