Even though I voted for the fool, this single act cinched it for me. When this act was announced, my wife and I looked at each other and wondered, “Where did he ever get the idea that the people who elected him wanted this?” Unfortunately, there weren’t any viable options at the time. As is too often the case, you have to hold your nose and vote for the candidate that will do the least amount of damage. In that case it was Arnold. :-(

Not true. Had the people actually voted their preference, McClintock would have one. Conservatives fell suckers for "he can win," again. Even one-on-one, McClintock would have beaten Bustamante.
