This actually makes sense to me, in the context that Dr. Jones has committed so many sins, by commission and omission that this is all he has that could possibly constitute a defense. He is guilt ridden and facing disgrace, civil suites and perhaps criminal charges. That’s the best he can do, because of the enormity of his many sins.
To imagine paying for a college education or being in the pipeline on research, papers, results and career-generating decisions and work that is based on the frauds this has perpetrated against students, families, banks, communities and entire faculty should lead to multiple class-action suits. I don’t care who you are, this is a sink hole the size of the Grand Canyon.
