There was a great Dick VanDyke episode where Dick became convinced the baby (Richie) they had at their home was the wrong one.

This is a frivolous lawsuit. The family should be fined for filing it. No harm was done.

I remember that episode-and so the hospital staff decided to set his mind at ease by letting him meet the family he thought might have his baby,the Peters family (scroll to 3rd paragraph) . He had his mind set at ease very quickly!

I wondered if that episode wasn't ground breaking, and per that site not only was it, but it *may* have paved the way for Bill Cosby's long television and theatrical career.
