Jamie Glazov: “Thank You, Glenn Beck, for Exposing Communism’s Evil”

Frontpagemag.com editor and Cold War specialist Dr. Jamie Glazov has written a fascinating article about his family’s history, the Soviet Union, Western leftists and their alliance with dictators and terrorists, and, finally, Fox News host Glenn Beck. Please take the time to read it.

Jamie was born in the Soviet Union. His grandfathers, both dissidents, were killed by the Stalinist terror pillaging their country. Although dissidents as well, his father, Yuri, and his mother, Marina, were not only lucky enough to survive, but were even able to migrate to Canada.

The Glazovs were thrilled to be in the West – where they were safe from the persecution they suffered in the Soviet Union – but they were shocked to discover that many Western leftists, who lived in peace and freedom, despised them because they dared criticize the Kremlin’s horrific and inhumane rule. They knew that the Soviet Union’s legacy was one of terror and oppression, but were ignored (or worse) by the West’s intelligentsia for saying so.

Probably because they sought Jewish friends in American, who are inexplicably 90% Democrat and secular. (With the greatest respect to our esteemed conservative Jewish opinion leaders such as Horowitz, Prager, Schlussel, Feder, Medved, Prelutsky, etc.)

The Left was emotionally vested in the Soviet Union. And not only were they blind to the brutality of Stalin’s regime but they, in their hearts of hearts, were convinced that his measures were justified, that the land had to be purged of classes who people who stood in the way of progress. To be be sure, not all the left. There was always the anti-communist Left, but after Stalin’s death,after the new gang had publicly denounced his reign of terror, they felt there was no longer a need to oppose communism. Indeed, they decided that our own “military-industrial” complex was the only reason why the Soviets still maintained their powerful armed forces. The Left was, therefore, shocked when the Soviet Union collapsed. To their dismay, the West—or rather “Capitalism” had won.

Jamie thanks Glenn Beck and rightfully so; inasmuch as he is out there. . .and wanting to educate people. We have had many out there and for a long time, of course, but Glenn has Media power and takes his mission seriously.
