Sorry to post this just after lunch. Of course, a "clear concern for the effects of [...] decisions on the lives of real people" is a desirable attribute for a legislator. A judge is supposed to interpret, not make the law. Where is the right-to-abortion in the Constitution? Souter found it somewhere.
