Last week, the panel of conservative economic experts on the Glenn Beck couldn't say enough good about how well-run and financially-sound is Texas compared to the disasters and bankruptcies in other states. It's tops on their list of places highly attractive to business and homeowners alike.

It sounded to me like a tribute to the incumbent GOP head of state, Governor Perry.

It also looks to me like the conservatives will once again shoot themselves in the foot by voting for their long-shot, newly-discovered squeeze, Medina, thereby opening the door for the Breck Girl to sashay right in.

Strange year in politics it’s been. I think this race may well go into a runoff and that can mean a defeat for an incumbent. However I’m not sure that would be the case this time. It’s still Perry’s to lose imo.

Texas has fared well no doubt, but things have slowed down. I see closed businesses but things will rebound. One thing Texas has to address and hasn’t to an indepth degree is the state budget. It will fall on the next gov. and legislature to probably take some fairly tough actions to bring things back into line. Perry used $12 billion of stimulus money this go round to balance his budget. We’ll see.

The latest ‘Texas Montly’ issue with Perry as POTUS on the cover, seemed an endorsement for KBH also. The $$$ that is surplus now, according to that leftist rag wil all be gone next year, when the bills come due.

This is one endorsement Kay Barely Republican would rather not have. The Anti-American Statesman is basically pointing out which Republican they think is most liberal, while slamming her at the same time for not really being a liberal.

For a Republican, getting an endorsement from the Statesman is like having Bill Clinton come in and campaign for you.

I would never in a million years vote for Kay Hutchison. She is nothing but a Barack Hussein Obama butt kisser, that has sided and voted in line with Obama the anti-American, destructive, socialist/communist/facist POTUS is a mortal sin that I can never forgive. Any Republican that casts a vote for her in the Pubbie primary is not eiother a conservative, nor a Republican.

For starters look up Debra Medina's column 'Latinos and the GOP'

'It’s a shame isn’t it, that Republicans continue to ignore Hispanics especially here in Texas?' Debra Medina

'Ignore them', Mrs Medina? Since when? What more do you want? Or shouldn't we ask?

Medina ad:

“Who is going to think more about Latino families? Rick Perry, Kay Bailey Hutchison or me, who has a Latino family?” (Medina’s cultural heritage is German and Bohemian.)

She told a colleague last month in an e-mail. “Being married, however, to someone with a Mexican American heritage, I certainly embrace the culture.” But before she explained that, she told my colleage, who had asked her whether she considers herself Latina: “I’d not consider myself anything other than a wife and mother, a nurse and a patriot. I believe we too often get into race when it’s immaterial.”

No, Thanks, Mrs Medina.

She is also running Spanish ads. Hello Mrs.Medina! If they cannot speak English then they have no business voting IMO. When they learn English then let them vote. Assimilate. Learn English. Appreciate all America gives you.

So I’m sure she is blowing a lot of hot air just like Obama did just to get elected. Running those ads and saying what she has, tells me the border issue is just a try to get votes for herself.

Medina is about as qualified to be Governor as zero was to be President- want to re-visit how that is working out? She's a Libertarian running on the Republican ticket. She is supported by the Ron Paul worship crowd and she herself has acted in the Ron Paul worship capacity. She has demonstrated a lack of knowledge about Texas law and current ballot initiatives.

No, thanks, I’ll stick with ‘ol RINO Perry. Texas has remained in better shape than almost any if not all of the states in the union under Perry's watch. As someone said, 'he's the devil we know'.

The motly crew running for governor is laughable; a MUSLIM, a trecherous RINO woman* (Hutchison) and a woman with questionable loyalties

*Feds Have Built Only 32 Miles of 700 Mile Double-Border Fence Originally Mandated by Congress “One reason DHS has been able to do this is an amendment that Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R.-Texas) slipped into an omnibus appropriations bill that Congress passed on December 18, 2007. Hutchison’s amendment put a loophole in the fence law that allowed the secretary of Homeland Security not to build the fence Congress had mandated the year before.”

Relax folks. An endorsement by the Austin American-Statesman IS a kiss of death in Texas.

The very name of the rag is a falsehood, as is their editorial spin. Just consider the title of the propaganda department in Orwell’s “1984.” With the mission of spinning lies, its title was the “Ministry of Truth.”

Austin’s major newspaper is in Austin, but it represents neither America or Statesmanship.

In the Texas version of Berkley the term “PC” can refer to “Political Correctness,” “Progressive Communists,” or “Pravda on the Colorado.”

Take your pick.

KBH does not have the GOP endorsement--or at least I haven't heard that and it's not in this endorsement.

Kay is being endorsed by the Austin American Statesman, a dying leftist newspaper in a lib-kook city.

“Hutchison isn’t perfect, but she’s effective, knows how to work with Democrats”

The way to work with democrats is to kick the crap out them in the elections so they get no say.

The Lost in America Spaceman might as well have hung an Ann Richards for Governor sign out front when she was running. They’ll pick the most liberal candidate in the GOP and then pick the Democrat in the general election.

So, no surprise here.

Oh, they also carried Ann Richards’ water when Ann had her personal lapdog, Travis County DA Ronnie Earle, try to nail Hutchison on a trumped up campaign violations charge.

Just a little reminder thank you, Buckeye, for getting out the ping list...appreciate it.

This primary race is really gathering steam and polarizing voters among the RINOS, Washington insiders, and tea partiers.

All of us tea partiers who gathered in Washington D.C. last Sept. are still on track to replace incumbents. You can see it in the polls here in Texas and across the nation.

That was our most common theme and it is quite evident to anyone watching the political races. We are going to have a big batch of newbies and if they mess up, we will replace them the next go-round. Americans have had enough and we are determined to elect people to office who listen and act FOR the people.
