(AP) A former aide to John Edwards says in court documents that a copy of a sex tape featuring his former boss has been sent to the FBI.
Andrew Young said Friday he has the original copy of the tape showing Edwards in a sexual encounter in a safe deposit box in Atlanta. He said a copy of the tape was sent to his Washington attorney, who turned it over to federal investigators.
Young has said the tape shows Edwards and a woman he believes to be the two-time presidential candidate's mistress, Rielle Hunter. Federal investigators have been looking into the money that exchanged hands during Edwards' second White House campaign. He has denied breaking campaign finance laws.

Edwards is scum, and it looks like this “aide” matches his former hero’s values perfectly. I can’t imagine the thought process that goes into making money off this sort of tape.

That should be on the front cover of News of the World. Has anyone ever recorded sex in a safe deposit box before? Must have been a very large box.
Can you imagine what they’ll see? I bet they will see him combing his hair constantly while he is giving her the hot beef injection. And then right after the grand finale? Combing his hair again. What about the post-coital snuggle? Nope, not gonna happen because he’s too busy combing his hair again!

Hmmm. Doesn't sound like she wanted it "destroyed", now, does it? If she did, she would have thrown it out or burned it.
She's a videographer, so she knew the tape could be reused. Maybe for blackmail? She could tell the Silky Pony she "destroyed" the cassette, and be telling the truth, but not the whole truth.
All of the miserable people in this affair certainly deserved each other.
Oh, and I am sure the folks at the FBI made no copies of this hot property. We'll know, if the Silky Pony suffers the same fate as Mrs. Clark Griswold.
My take on this:
Young was sent by Edwards to “acquire” the tape so it would not be used in a blackmail attempt. (She made threats, maybe?). Silky Pony doesn’t pay off to Young enough, so Young is gonna make some moolah this way.

I don’t blame Young for doing this. Edwards ruined his life and threw him under the bus.
Yup, and the “scandal” isn’t about sex ... but about misuse of campaign funds.
