he should have included bruce springsteen.....

I remember the time Live 8 was about to be performed and diane sawyer interviewed bono and mentioned how the price of a single CD could save one child in Africa....I told my wife, “enough” and turned off the TV....she asked why I was so angry and told her EXACTLY what Johnson said- I said why doesn’t U2 take the money from the 1 million CD’s they last sold and save 1 million children???

I hope Bono makes a diplomatic trip to China and other countries we are in debt to and asks them to forgive our debt to them.

“Be careful not to do your ‘acts of righteousness’ before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.” The celebs have their reward...the adulation of men.

Giving voice to what so many feel.

What is Bono worth? $300,000,000 to $500,000,000? If he donated $200,000,000 and got many of his fellow rockers and Hollywood liberals to “pony up” some real money, they could raise BILLIONS! In the “real world” our new President, governing like the Chicago community organizer he is, continues to crush the lives and hopes of “every day” men and women all over this country.

Obama will undoutedly raise billions for re-election. He said he would rather be a one term President that made a difference. Here’s his chance. He should announce from this day forward every dime raised for his re-election will be used for charitable purposes.

Probably and urban legend, but still funny:

Bono is at a U2 concert in Glasgow when he asks the audience for some quiet. Then in the silence, he starts to slowly clap his hands.

He says into the microphone... "Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies."

A voice from near the front pierces the silence...

"Well, stop f@#!*!# clapping then."

Brian Johnson is 62? That makes me feel old

I was thinking the same thing. I'm getting old way too fast.
