I think I see the problem here. You have a very hard time grasping the concept of a metaphor, don't you? Why is why you think Dio's comment about blood means he is claiming that Romney's aides actually stabbed Palin's kids, and why an image of an airline hijacker with a gun would be construed as a threat instead of a metaphor about hijacking a thread.

A bit of advice - trying to make a literal case out of someone else's metaphors makes you look far worse than they do.
