"If we had allowed the meltdown of the financial system, unemployment might be double what it is today," President Obama said in his State of the Union address last week. "More businesses would certainly have closed. More homes would have surely been lost."
These words remind me of that old "Sesame Street" skit -- the one where Ernie has a banana in his ear. He tells Bert that it's there to keep alligators away.
"Ernie!" replies the ever-annoyed Bert. "There are no alligators on Sesame Street!"
"Right," Ernie says. "Works pretty good, doesn't it, Bert?"
Obama can always scare people with counterfactual narratives -- "If I hadn't done it then ..." -- because we'll never really know what would have happened. But when you look at what he claims he's done for the economy, and the damage his solutions have done to the taxpayer, it is hard to tell whether the alligators ever existed. Or whether they were so bad. Or whether they aren't eating us already.

Yeah, and if pigs had wings they could fly.
Just more obfuscation from 0.
But I thought 2009 was because of Bush’s policies. So doesn’t that mean that Bush’s policies are the reason unemployment isn’t double what it is today?
No, he has a deer whistle...
My gosh he is an idiot, did anyone cath his blaring double negive yesterday in the soundbites..”Not nothing”. This idiot was on Harvard law review? Along with the BC there is no record of his SAT or ACT scores, rumor was he got a 1050, which is ok for University of Arkansas but not Ivy league. He was a sock pupppet for some radicals who thought a high yella brother could be just the vehicle to propel them into political power and he has been pushed forward like a good house Negro ever since. He does’nt even realize he is out of his depth.
And his head up his .....
I would bet money that Barack or Michelle either one would fail the final exams from a South Carolina public high school of sixty years ago.
Watch the two closely and they act like two undereducated people who are trying to pretend to be Ivy League graduates. I doubt that their two IQ scores combined would be much higher than that of George W. Bush who is supposed to be an idiot according to the left.
