I started ignoring Sullivan a long time ago.
I remember the exact moment I realized that Sullivan was totally whackadoodle.
I'd say that it was at least 10 years ago, maybe seven. He was on Chris Matthews show (this was before I became a complete fan of FoxNews) and he began telling a story about getting a ride from a co-worker. She was telling him about what she would be doing after dropping him off, and it was basically a list of chores involving her children and ferrying them here and there. Parent stuff.
He then explains (to Matthews and others on the panel) that he told this woman that she complains that gays are always talking about sex; but, that she has been talking about sex.
I was stunned. First, by the idiocy of looking at being a chauffeur for your kids as being the equal of talking about sex. Second, that absolutely no one on that panel questioned his logic (or lack thereof).
So, I concluded that Sullivan was NOT a conservative writer (as he was still protraying himself), and that he was one sandwich short of a picnic.
