The South Carolina House on Tuesday voted 86-27 to affirm its support of the Ninth and Tenth Amendments that limit the scope of federal power, and gun rights under the Second Amendment.
"Today, we sent a message to Congress South Carolina believes that the federal government is engaging in an unprecedented takeover of power from the states," said House Speaker Bobby Harrell. "While there is no law we can pass to stop them, it is important to make our position and the position of our constituents known to the federal government.
South Carolina! First to secede, last to surrender!

Somebody needs to propose repeal of the 17th Amendment.
And the 16th and 19th. Fortunately, the public got sick of the 18th in less than no time.

South Carolina can do more, other States have already done more. And Yes there are laws they can pass to enact Nullification and interposition to protect the rights of the people.
Unfortunately governor Mark Stanford’s scandal has crippled that States ability to fight.

May be time the wife and I moved to SC.Come on down for a visit. Easy one day drive.
While you're here, be sure and check out Aiken County. Low taxes, cost of living about 8% below the national average. I've been here since 2003 and love it. NO SNOW!
