Mainly, A plane carrying a news traffic reporter had a malfunction and landed on the New Jersey Turnpike.

It’d be killer to see an EZPass stuck to the windscreen of the plane!
Ha Ha... beat me to it! You just know that NJTA is gonna sock it to ‘em. Wait until they get the bill...guaranteed!
With the speed they make you go through the EZPass lane you would have to land and taxi through. I just hope the lane is wide enough for the wing span! :-)
Hope it didn’t stay in the left lane too long. The State Police will get ya for that.
Not to mention not being allowed to pump your own gas.
I find it ironic the Turnpike spokesman mentioned the plane moved to the side of the road and that most cars that end up disabled do not!
“Not to mention not being allowed to pump your own gas.”
And that’s the way we like it! Seems every couple of years someone in Trenton tries to push through a bill allowing self serve. When someone asks why we need it, they never seem to have a good answer.
In Jersey, we don’t pump our gas, we pump our fists!! :)
First time a traffic plane reported its own traffic jam.
Most IPass lanes here in Chicago would allow a Piper or similar small-seater through.
And since the system is pressure-plate activated, it should go without saying that landing/taxi is needed.
Yes, these are the cars that get the one-finger salute during rush hour :)
Because of the frequent freeway shootings in CA, drivers are noticeably more polite compared to NJ drivers. An armed society is definitely a more polite one.
That is just plain FUNNY!
Without a Turnpike ticket, he will have to pay the maximum toll.
You New Jersey drivers got nothin on Detroit drivers. A few years ago, a guy who was test flying a plane he wanted to buy had an engine failure. He found a space between cars on I-94 soutwest of Detroit and landed the plane. One lady passed him and flipped him off.
