At least he was an actual CEO of a major company.

Not sure where your’e going with this. Bush created and ran an energy company, then ran the Texas Rangers, then Bush ran for gov and beat an entrenched Dem.

Then, he won again and 2 terms as President.

Fro the very informal poling I have done, I think the run off will be between Perry and Medina. Kay Bailey Useless seems to have no support in North Texas.

Good luck with that. Remember Ross Perot?

Different mechanics involved here. This is a primary race, not a general election.

Perot stood in the general, and split votes away from Bush Sr., which gave Clinton the squeaker win.

Perry has a lot of pimples, but if the fire is hot enough he will see the light and feel the heat. So I’m holding my nose and voting for Perry.

“hold my nose and vote for Perry” ... I got a kick out of that. Anyway it is interesting to drop in on FR and take the temperature. Looks like the “in” FR crowd loves their fossils. Respy, GWC

Not sure where your’e going with this.

I was disputing the suggestion that Medina needs to run for lesser office before being qualified to be governor. Bush didn't and he was a good governor.

BTW, Bush's energy company, financed by his father's friends, never made any money. He did pretty well as an executive at Harken Energy, but after all his father was president while he was there. That does tend to open doors. His baseball franchise became profitable on the backs of the taxpayers who built the Rangers a new stadium. I tend to prefer businessmen over career politicians, but I wouldn't hold GWB up as an ideal example of a businessman.

Thats a good point. But the two are not really comparable. Bush did run (he lost) so he had some campaign experience. Plus, he was wealthy and had a big national name. IF Medina had those qualifications, it might be a different race.

That the best you got, bot?

If this was a job interview, which it is then Medina wouldn’t get a call back.

Speaking poorly on issues she doesn’t understand and badmouthing others with no qualifications of her own ain’t going to get her a job.

“KBH has a soft spot for illegals. What about Perry?”

Perry promised if elected he would build the fence and secure the border. Once elected he brushed that all aside and told us that “it’s never going to happen.” Then he went on to his attempt to force all girls to get the Gardisil vaccine.

“... numerous other threads where Medinabots are getting their asses handed to them wholesale?”

I don’t know what universe you’re living in, but from what I’ve seen on these boards the momentum is definitely flowing in her direction.

You know your candidate is really beginning to make a move when the other candidates’ supporters start lashing out irrationally at your candidate and making up stuff about her since they can’t really criticize her on her own positions because they secretly agree with them.

The best argument against Medina is lack of executive experience in politics... which is a pretty weak argument in and of itself given that we could probably select a random collection of dentists, grocers, plumbers, electricians, nurses, bricklayers, and sanitation engineers to run the state government and end up with smaller, less freedom-sucking government than we’d get from another four years of Perry or moving Kay from DC to Austin.

In the rural county I live in formerly lukewarm Perry and KBH supporters are jumping on the Medina bandwagon every day.

I only hope that you are drunk and not stupid enough to believe the drivel that you just posted n00bie. However my respect level for you Paul/Medinabots couldn’t get much lower but y’all keep digging.

Posting nonsense and lies are not going to get you anywhere especially here on FR.

Beanshits, I just checked your posting history and it is clear you are a bot.

Good luck as it is almost time to stick a thermometer in Medina as she is about done.

Medina has it going away according to this online poll from the WFAA website following last nights debate. Looks to me like the Paul people were out in force or else she's going to win the primary hands down.

	               Votes %
Kay Bailey Hutchison 60 2
Debra Medina 2625 91
Rick Perry 121 4
