If you want to know the number of Ellie Lights covering this site,
just take note of all the posts invalidating Conner rather then praising her for speaking out.

I was sure this was from “The Onion”
I am happy to see that at least on one of the most important issues we face in this Country, Collins “gets’ it!
Great post kristinn.

It is amazing that this comes from Collins. Even more amazing is the absence of the Republican leadership.
Where are the other republicans?

Did she use her “mommy, preachy, pedantic” voice, or did she speak like a human being! Anyhow...Collins making noises like a conservative? You know, like an actual American?? Is she up for election this year or what?
To: kristinn
Yo, Susie! "How did we get to this point"?!?
Howza about YOU and the other RINOs ENABLING this do-nothing excuse for a real leader for an entire YEAR, letting crap get passed (usually with YOUR help, and Snowe's and pre-Dem Specter!!) without even reading it!!!! >:-(
America is ticked off, all right, that terrorism isn't taken seriously like it is in the rest of the world. We are ticked off that American is verging (if not already IN) bankruptcy because of YOU and the other ENABLERS. We are ticked off that the world is snickering at us TO OUR FACE because we (they think All of America) voted this rube into office and look at all the damage he's done in one short year! >:-(
Yes, YOU are finally reading the writing on the wall, so now you are saying what we want to hear, but WE THE PEOPLE aren't falling for it anymore. Come election time, WE THE PEOPLE are going to be having a little TEA Party INTERVENTION, and tossing the ENABLERS like YOU out on your rear ends! Enough of the BLAME AMERICA crowd and make her pay for her 'evil' ways (ie screwing the taxpayers)--time for AMERICA FIRST, THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!

Blind pig. Truffle.
Either that, or she’s petrified of being Browned.
But it’s welcome either way.

Collins, trying for ‘damage control’.
they truly think we will forget they voted to force the government takeover of our healthcare down our throats, by november.

What is really funny: She’s not up for re-election until 2014.

I tend to agree. We can do better than McCain in Arizona, or Graham in SC. I'm not so sure that, right now, there are better, electable, options than Snowe and Collins in Maine.
To be sure, I have many issues with them - their stances on social issues, their support for the porkulus bill, etc. I wouldn't want either near a national GOP ticket. But both Snowe and Collins have also both been solid, reliable hawks on defense and national security. Snowe supports the death penalty. Collins supported the Bush tax cuts, and has fought hard against granting habeas corpus to terror suspects. They are essentially Joe Lieberman types. I'd rather have a solid conservative, but I don't see that happening in Maine in the near future. So it's either Snowe and Collins or some of the genuinely hard lefties that have run against them. Speaking for myself, I'll take Olympia Snowe any day of the week (and twice on Sunday) over the likes of Jean Hay Bright.

Hmmmmm is it possible that the won tallking down to and lecturing the GOP and SCOTUS Wednesday night has lost him the support of the twister sisters from Maine?
To: kristinn
They let COLLINS give the weekly response??
Is this an attempt by the GOP leadership to “rehabilitate” the image of a RINO who will get the thrashing she most certainly deserves in November?
Doesn’t anybody remember how Susan Collins screwed the GOP (and the nation) by voting for the Stimulus Bill? In fact, her vote ALLOWED the Stimulus Bill to get past the Senate?
Nice speech, Susan. Now say good night.

50 minutes. Just long enough to sit down, exchange names, confirm the spelling of his name (consarned ferners, cain't use real speling), and ask about how his family is doing, and whether he's been treated OK in detention.
In other words, other than platitudes and introductions, they didn't question him at all. Period. That's not national security, that's not even good civilian police-work. What a bunch of clowns.

I’ll give the RINO’s credit, most of them are very anti-terrorism, hawkish types.
