“I disagreed strongly with the Bush administration’s mismanagement of the war in Iraq.”

McCain's anti-Bush/anti-Rumsfeld venom kicked into overdrive in the run-up to the 2006 midterms. Iraq basically cost us the House and the Senate, and McCain's treachery was a huge part of that. I'll never forget his stupid mug on every Sunday morning show that would have him slamming the administration and legitimizing the leftist attacks.

Of course, that's something only intractable "purists" would care about.

That reminds me of something else about McCain that is just deplorable. Running for president for EIGHT years when he was supposed to be serving in the senate!

In the last 9 years, all McCain did in the senate was go after steroids in baseball, push amnesty, yell at republicans and RUN FOR OFFICE!

He spent most of the time in New Hampshire and Iowa..campaigning. He gets a big fat F for attendance.

In the end McCain was right!

Does the surge ring a bell?

Yes he was a jerk about the whole thing, bashing Bush in public. That doesn’t take away from him being right.
