IIRC - in the 2008 election, in the district, I believe Obama was up 56-43 over McCain, and Ron Klein (D) beat Col. West 55-45. The important factor was the dearth of money for West’s campaign and all the turnout produced by Obama’s presence on the ticket. West has solidified his image and has increased his name recognition in the meantime. May the RNC ladle the bucks on this guy’s campaign - he deserves to oust Klein.

There was a clip of him on Redstate talking about the muslim invasions. He invoked Charles Martel, Lepanto, the defense of Vienna and the loss of Constantinople. He said that until we define the enemy as a religion of conquest that has been raging for almost 1400 years we will just be "chasing our tails".

Perhaps a search on Redstate for Colonel West in the last week or two would let soeone more technically proficient post it. It was amazing.

I think I would like to see ANY Conservative out there have West’s demeanor and range of interview skills.

Right out of the chute, he’s more knowledgeable and intelligent than 99% of Congress. Maybe 100%. The fact he has the balls to speak the truth about Mohammadanism that it is NOT a religion, but a political ideology, means he will be instantly branded by the leftist elites the most dangerous member of Congress come January 2011. Too bad we can’t fast-track Col. West to the White House, like this week.

I had the pleasure of attending a fundraiser for Lt. Col. Allen West last Tuesday evening, the very night that Brown fired the ‘Scott heard round the world.’

West’s even more impressive in person...and like Brown, he’s the real deal. True conservative, very smart & an outstanding speaker....no teleprompter needed.

But he’s going to need support from Freepers all over FL & the USA to win on the uber-progressive east coast of FL.
