You are so right. We understood EXACTLY what he said and rejected it 100%.

How dare he insult my intelligence.

How dare he insult my intelligence.

It's part of his narcissism. He can't help it. I mean that honestly. It's a mental illness. And it makes him dangerous.

Anyone who was a living eye witness to the last third, or even the last quarter of the twentieth century who still believes that socialism can be made to work is one of the sloooow kids.

Just like the dumbass quota-hire who sits in the white house today

"I think the assumption was if I just focus on policy, if I just focus on this provision or that law or if we're making a good rational decision here, then people will get it."

I honestly can not think of a less-presidential statement he could make. He is admitting he doesn't have a clue about Presidential leadership and he's totally winging it. Of course, we all knew that from the beginning based on his tissue-paper thin commie resume.

Presumably, the president isn't stupid enough actually to believe what he said. But it's dispiriting to discover he's stupid enough to think we're stupid enough to believe it.

Yep says it all

Clinton was the same way

He’s right the dems just don’t get it at all. It’s like they think we are too stupid and that if they wait a few weeks we’ll forget all about it and they can go back to it. They think if they lie more about what the bill will do that they can get us to fall for it.Keep it up the more you push the more we push back in November!

Good one even by Steyn's elevated standards.

Got it. People are so angry and frustrated at George W. Bush that they're voting for Republicans. In Massachusetts... Presumably, the president isn't stupid enough actually to believe what he said. But it's dispiriting to discover he's stupid enough to think we're stupid enough to believe it.

A good number of political academics really do believe that the crude masses are that stupid, and unfortunately for him, those are the people 0bama has surrounded himself with. It's a shame - the real historical evidence to the contrary is dismissed or worked into one postmodern narrative or another, and so it's a recurring surprise when the lumpenproletariat decline to cooperate and hand these idiots their heads. In the case of 18th century France, literally.

He ran as something he's not and never has been: A post-partisan centrist transformative healer. That'd be a difficult trick to pull off even for somebody with any prior executive experience, someone who'd run something, like a state, or even a town, or even a commercial fishing operation, like that poor chillbilly boob Sarah Palin.

That's going to leave a mark because it's true. And, in fact, it is 0bama's lack of executive experience that is his greatest hazard. This is a moment begging for it - his opposition has found a winning formula and fundamental changes in the composition of his staff and the nature of his objectives are necessary. That isn't a job for an amateur. And 0bama is an amateur.

What we have here, I think, is a watershed in an individual's political outlook, the moment at which the certitudes of ideology fail in the face of a stubborn real world. Nearly every intelligent political observer faces it, but few of us do so as President of the United States. It is, if 0bama's own impudent locution may be used, a "learning moment." I wish him luck with it.

At one point late in the 2008 campaign, when someone suggested that if Gov. Palin was "unqualified" then surely he was too, Obama pointed as evidence to the contrary his ability to run such an effective campaign. In other words, running for president was his main qualification for being president.

That was the story of his life: Wow! Look at this guy! Wouldn't it be great to have him as ... as community organizer, as state representative, as state senator, as United States senator. He was wafted ever upward, staying just long enough in each "job" to get another notch on the escutcheon, but never long enough to leave any trace.

I find myself envying Mr. Steyn's ability to nail down the gist of the matter with just a few well-turned phrases.

But there may still be some show out there that didn't get its exclusive Obama interview

I don't think he's been on Glenn Beck's show yet.

I turned on the radio in the middle of Obama's ranting about "them" and I'd never heard such passion and anger directed at "them," not since W talking about terrorists. For a second I thought 'Wow, I've never heard Obama have such passion about terrorists.'

Of course, he was talking about bankers.

I believe the top-rated "Grain & Livestock Prices Report, 4 a.m. Update with Herb Torpormeister" on WZZZ-AM Dead Buzzard Gulch Junction's NewsTalk Leader is still waiting to hear back from the White House.

Herb...and anyone from Fox News (except "The Other O").

Since many of the 411 speeches were given outside of Washington, I would like to see the tab just for Air Force One.

Maybe Barack gives all those speeches to get away from Michele.

The tea partiers are driving Hussein nuts. So will King Barack respond to the Mass election revolt with moderation? Will he scrap health care? Or will he insanely shove the bill down America’s collective throats......like the irate King George's "Coercive Acts"? Every bit as punishing as it sounds.

Anything is possible w/ this arrogant power-mad crew in the WH. Royalism, Socialism, Fascism, Communism. No real difference, except whether Ohaha will let us go to Reeducation Camps willingly.......or at gunpoint.

Obama and the Chicago Boys in the WH execute raw power grabs one after another. Anything and everything Obama does is a strategic move to increase his power through the executive branch.....

WHERE HAVE WE HEARD THAT BEFORE? The phrase "to gain executive branch authority" was first heard 70 years ago, or so.....part of a package called "The Enabling Acts"......although it was written in German. The Enabling Acts granted "the executive" the authority to write new laws and change old laws without oversight.

==============================================

KEEP IN MIND Candidate Obama campaigned on installing a “Civilian Security Force” on US soil. We can safely assume that means the Security Force has guns.......and makes sure the citizenry does not.

Rahm Emanuel surely got his top White House job as Obama’s COS, based on his training on how to organize a “Civilian Security Force” b/c Rahm voluntered for “Sar’el”—— the three-week Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) program to train civilians.

Circa 1991 Rahm Emmanuel worked on brake components for APC’s and tanks in an IDF military motor pool. NOTE: Rahm is lacking part of a finger and for many years went around claiming he’d lost it in actions against the enemy when he was in an IDF tank (serving in a foreign govt's military negates one's American citizenship).

It is not clear whether the Constitution permits dual citizen Rahm Emanuel to serve in a high level US govt job, and make policy decisions for American citizens. Also, Rahm's top security clearance permits him to sit in the WH Situation Room next to Pres Ohaha during TOP SECRET NATIONAL SECURITY MEETINGS.
