Offering his most extensive public comments about the election debacle in Massachusetts, President Obama acknowledged that he's taking some lumps but also trying to cast himself as a populist who will "never stop fighting" to bring health care reform and jobs to communities like this hard-hit manufacturing area outside Cleveland.
"Let me tell you, so long as I have the privilege of serving as your president, I'll never stop fighting for you," Obama said at the beginning of a town hall meeting with voters Friday. "I'll take my lumps, too. I'll never stop fighting to bring jobs back to Elyria. I'll never stop fighting for an economy where hard work is rewarded, where responsibility is honored, where accountability is upheld, where we're creating the jobs of tomorrow."

If he does, next November will be a nuclear winter for the Democrats, and the GOP-majority House/Senate will have plenty of time to kill and bury it before the first health-care tax hits.

Are you SURE this is Obama talking? I didn’t know he could even SPELL “hard work”, “accountability” and “responsibility”.

Obama doesn't have the first clue as to why the economic base has been leaving communities like Elyria.
The only thing Obama knows is how to make people into (a) government employees and part of a government employees union or (b) government dependents.

If he wants to bring back the jobs, the solution is simple, outlaw unions, and eliminate the minimum wage.
Yeah, the hell with what the people want, just like a good obedient marxist.
Sure he knows how to take his lumps. Blame everything on Bush.
If he does then we will never get rid of it. The Republicans will not vote to disemploy the thousands or millions of new bureaucrats who will be immediately hired and all future elections will be fought on who can run Health Care more efficiently or can put which special groups at the head of the medical careline.
