You don't get it. This announcement, at this time, is designed to prevent Hayworth from running. This is preemptive to clear the field. It doesn't matter if she campaigns later or not - She is kingmaking for the Traitorous Bastard.
There is another more sinister possibility.
McCain asked Sarah to say she would help him win, to scare J.D. Hayworth off. It could work too. I am leaning in this direction.

See #202
>> IMO, shes making a mistake...in supporting McCain.
This should have been an easy, “Sorry John, as a team, America said no.”
Balloon floated, popped. Next.
Let’s turn our focus to DeMint where it belongs.
Go J.D.!

C’mon. How about McCain getting some tips from the Democrats on how to diffuse independent momentum.
How to stop the anti-incumbency movement - wreck that which drives it. Split off Sarah, and split off the noob.
This is a good test and I’m glad it’s happening now.
Go J.D.!
OTOH, John McCain is getting up there in age and before he becomes totally senile he should step aside and make room for some fresh, bright and new blood in our Party.
Thank you for your service, Senator McCain, now please R-E-T-I-R-E.
I agree.
BUMP
Ha! GMTA. ; )
Look at it this way. A boss promotes you to a better paying position. He ask you later for a reference after being fired. Are you going to say NO?
I would have preferred Sarah sit out the Zona primary and let the people decide. But, Palin is loyal. A quality unseen amongst many.
Box meet hard spot... hard spot meet box.
Her “saber ratting” was aimd at Hayworth...and it will probably work, who wants to go up against her juggernaut fan club.
Hayworth supporters should be outraged.
Well, people wanted Palin to be a “king-maker” now she is. How does everyone like it?
She’s coming to Texas to help King Ricky in his relection bid to make 14 years for his reign.
“Hayworth supporters should be outraged.”
I’m none too pleased...and I’m up here on the Pacific NW.
Seriously, what’s she thinking on this??
“Look at it this way. A boss promotes you to a better paying position. He ask you later for a reference after being fired. Are you going to say NO?”
What if (her) principles are at stake?
I see mclame as being wrong, but an honorable man.
It is over-simplified, but I think correct.
If she believes that McCain, though well-meaning, is a strong advocate for policies that she believes harmful to the country, then she should not be supporting him for re-election to a position from which he can harm this country.
She may like him, and he may be a great guy, but she should put the welfare of the country ahead of her personal feelings. Otherwise you get the cult of personality and corruption (by putting people in positions for which they are not suitable, simply because you know and like them).
I don't agree with Sarah campaigning for McCain. This is the man who didn't defend her when some in his campaign attacked her and leaked negative stories about her to the media. I always believed that McCain's silence was evidence of his complicity in that episode. I had hoped that Sarah would have noticed this as well and politely declined campaigning for the old man. But I guess she has a sense of gratitude and loyalty for the man who picked her as his VP candidate and made her a national figure.
You’re correct...How could I forget our wonderful RNC Chairman!
Update: Hannity’s guest tonight was Juan McLame! I’m getting so weary of Sean.
Agreed. I don’t know why people take everything so personally.
Nothing is stopping Hayworth from running. He’s had plenty of time to declare.
