To anyone who is surprised by Sarah’s campaigning for McCain, then you simply haven’t been listening — to Sarah!

She has said, “I support John McCain 100%. We’re the same.” SarahPAC contributed $5K to McCain’s campaign (plus equally to Lindsey Graham’s and Orin Hatch’s campaigns) McCain’s former foreign policy adviser, Randy Scheunemann, is Sarah’s foreign policy adviser. So where’s the surprise?

This “class” and “loyalty” stuff is just denial of what no one wants to hear — even from Sarah, herself.

The only “loyalty” I want to see out of a politician is LOYALTY TO THEIR FAMILY, LOYALTY TO THE CONSTITUTION and LOYALTY TO US — NOT “loyalty to other politicians”, particularly not politicians who have done as much damage to this country as John McCain has —and that goes double if someone like Hayworth runs against him.

If Sarah keeps stumping for RINO’s, she’s going to have one heck of a credibility problem with Tea Partiers — as well she should. Her celebrity and personality should not be a free pass to do anything she wants without repercussions — no matter how many lame apologetics for her are offered up.

Today, Bob J says that Sarah endorsing McCain is a mistake.

12 days ago Bob J said that he would applaud Sarah if she endorsed McCain.

That's Bob J and his objective criticisms, LOL!

She can say that she will gladly campaign for him in the general, against a democrat, but that she feels strongly that the republican voters deserve to pick their own in a primary without outside interferrance. I believe RR told GHWB the same thing when he was asked to campaign in a primary.

So? My concern is with the hypocrisy of the “NO RINO’s” pro-Palin crowd that is now ready to throw out principle for politics because their annointed one tells them to do so.

What will Sarah ask you to compromise on next?

Putting her on a pedestal makes it impossible to hold her feet to the fire. This means nothing to those who believe she can do no wrong.

And therin lies the danger.

She owes him that for choosing her and bringing her to the front page for all to see.

She owes him nothing, she owes her supporters, who will do anything for her, but they may not forgive this one. She hasn't schooled herself on his History, other than the Hero aspect.

Big Mistake, she may get by with it, but it is a major disappointment to me.

The special election yesterday in Massachusetts was truly amazing. It is a clear indication of things to come and a demonstration of the momentum we all share in the fight for the values and policies that will get our country back to work. The commonsense conservative principles of liberty and fiscal responsibility are on the rise, and that’s why I’m going out and campaigning as hard as I can to make a difference. I can’t wait to join all of you in supporting these great candidates and many more over the coming months.

In the meantime, visit the websites of Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, and John McCain. And join us as we embark on America’s journey to November!

Even Ronald Reagan did so by naming George Bush I as VP.

And we all now how well that turned out. Complete disaster.

One thing is abundantly clear about Sarah is that her respect and admiration for those who have served in the military and suffered for our country is second to none.

Then by that logic, she should also campaign for John Kerry. (Who Served In Vietnam)

“I can see why she would not dis Mccain in public but campaigning for him in a primary means one of two possiblities...”

Do we *know* she’s going to campaign for him in the primary?

McCain is making an A$$ of himself between the commercials attacking JD and I just got a call from Scott Brown touting McCain for re-election. Good grief, if a senator that has been in Washington as long as he has, has to get the big guns to come out to campaign for him, it's way past time for him to retire.

The commercials are sickening (I especially hate the one with the snide sounding woman attacking JD....shudder) He claims to be stopping all that spending, really? How is it that he failed so badly and expects us to re-elect him?

Sarah is “turning the other cheek,” showing that she has more class than McQueeg. Also, it doesn’t mean she needs to do very much for him, just show up, smile and wave. It also doesn’t mean she can’t say good things about his Primary opponent too.

Don’t know, yet, brother. We’ll see how it pans out.

Sometimes things look a certain way on the surface, but there’s more going on behind the scenes.

She hasn’t given me any reason to distrust her, so I’ll go on faith that her motives are good. Until proven otherwise...

Small question here:

How does McCain NOT end up with a primary challenger?

You say "Sarah has no ego".

Then she would do better to go back to Alaska and take care of her family. They need her.

Sarah owes this pig NOTHING!

If she is as she claims, a conservative, backing McCain makes her a liar!
++++++++++++++

Could she be naive on this matter?

you mean McCain’s good friend John F’n Kerry, dynamic duo in the ‘90s who worked their @sses off to halt any further inquiry into the search for Vietnam POWs?

“Could she be naive on this matter?”

If she is THAT naive, she is as dangerous as McCain and Graham.

Unfortunately VR, this was a bad call by Sarah.
I wouldn't have a problem if Sarah campaigned for McCain after the primary. Now, I don't know if Hayworth is a declared candidate or not (SoCalPol help me out here) so maybe I don't have all the facts.

But Sarah promised to campaign for conservatives regardless of party, and here she is about to stump for the biggest RINO in the history of the Republican Party. I'll still support Sarah, but this does make me a little depressed.

Well, it’s an open question. I surely hope she doesn’t campaign for McCain against Hayworth, but indirectly by saber rattling for McCain now (did she make her announcement today?), she will. That would be too bad. She might be wasting her political capital on McCain at a really early date for her. Why? As others said above, what in the world does she owe him or his politico infrastructure?
